Lmao, its crazy that the 2nd most sympathetic character got the absolute worst ending but thats just how it is for office men in Japan ig. With all the crazy soliciting minors behind the scenes and on their news I hear about, this sht isnt THAT much far off...minus the reverse rape thing...

Pfft, yea. Cus a homeless guy who worked all his life basically to pay for his family and that delinquent ass daughter's college, got arrested, lost their job with a permanent black stain on his resume, and had to pay alimony/child support to at least 2 parties (in debt basically) has the luxury to improve himself like the now rich wife and rich youtuber daughter???

Are you delirious?

I mean, you post the most blatant misandrist comment I've ever found on this forum and you question why someone has the audacity to....post a reaction to your misandrist comment?

Your selective telling of the chapter aside, no the chapter was about how fucked up Japanese society is with highschool girls AND boys. You also seem to conveniently ignore the old ladies talking about how hot the 17 yo boy is, but not surprising since you seem to learn about society from manga
was just sharing a fear of mine that i said i know isnt true and that is generalisation : p and my 'audacity' is due to that person striking anybody who says anything negative about the mc but hasnt said why so i was curious lol

I read inside the dregs yesterday and I fucking hated it with all my heart but morbid curiosity kept on nagging at me to read this mangaka's other works. I still disliked the story but I'm glad that the ending wasn't as terrible as inside the dregs' one.

yeah, I was honestly rooting with him when he was committed to getting his certifications and paying for his daughter's school only for her dismiss it, but his previous choices gave reason for doubt, and he then proceeded to make the worst choices on how to deal with it. I mean, I get it. I come from a family with a genetic predisposition to depression. I've seen and proven to others that, no matter how much you try or how much effort THEY put in, you can't just make someone feel what you think they should, especially if they're dead inside.

Anyway, in the end he failed fully commit or follow through on anything. Makes me want to rethink my own life watching him waffle. Need to work on some certifications myself. Tried coasting off my degree but there were mass layoffs and haven't been able to get work in my field for a year. Ending up with a little job at a food factory like he did and was content just paying my bills. Fortunately, don't have anyone to drag down with me (in person, I have emotional barriers around me strong enough to deliver crushing force to anyone in my vicinity) so I won't get lost wondering if my doing it for someone else. Really reminded me how easy indecision can fuck up a life.
Relatable and hoping from my side you've had some breakthroughs, yeah. Life is hard, but hopefully you meet people long-term or short that can and are willing to encourage you to endure the struggles and check you before you make mistakes that will damage yourself and others. Also hope you gain the wisdom and strength to choose the right over wrong no matter how hard it seems.
Peace to you And may God bless.
