I grew up in a time where anime was niche was hell, watched Naruto fans subs in elementary school long before it was dubbed. I would've loved for more people to have seen what I seen. Now you see these guys in their 20s or younger complaining about anime being main stream.

Anime was becoming main stream when YOU were getting into it. You are expressing anger from a lonliness you have never actually felt.

Most of the time its because some guy who doesn't actually care about your hobby is telling you to.

See, it's awful to be able to buy even the less popular manga that you like in your local store and financially support the author. Or to be able to read even soon-axed manga and one-shots on Jump app.

That said, I actually agree with Ayazel that it's dumb to keep talking here about culture wars here about wokeness and stuff. We're supposed to be talking about manga chapter, not about some imaginary people that could possibly be supporting GamerGate or writing "gay" games somewhere out there, ot that argument will take over the thread.
