New outfit is cute without being too much, being used to the daily grind of the office world means that he's still enjoying the RPG guild point grinding, especially when it comes with socialization, recognition, and steady rank ups (seriously, three promotions in three months?). He also seems to have taken up the caretaker role for the kids, which again makes sense since even if the world sees them as peers, he's had 30 years of mundane adult life compared to their zero (mid 40s vs teenagers).
Best of all, he's definitely well into his recovery from being completely dead inside, though "old man" is a mentality I don't think he'll ever really break from, especially if he keeps being the parent of the group. It being in the title also means that it's going to stick around as a gag for a long time to come.
OTOH, Al's got the hotblooded teenage boy thing going, but needs to start using his head or he'll either lead to a party wipe or get left behind. Even Corin ranked up before him, and those two should be damn near inseparable. Is she picking up extra work while he slacks off?
