It's not often that when I look up the source WN of these manga series that I end up binge reading the available translated chapters. It was / is surprisingly well written, and I hope the manga ends up being just as good as it continues.

Actual fucking masterpiece. This is the most excellent art I ever saw, the true ultimate of the common manga style. The story is beautiful too. This is what an isekai should be. Putting it in the same category as the bland inserts is an insult

Seems like it could be an interesting read, provided the main character changes and grows out of their dull pessimistic personality pretty soon. Too many chapters of no confidence loser crap and it will get boring.

Don't worry, the character arc seems to be a slow burn, but by the current arc, they seem to be getting comfortable in their own skin. The break though in chapter 11 seems happens a little different than in the Web novels. It was a little cleaned up, and two events were merged into one, but the events serve as a foundation for a lot of Haruka loosing up and coming to terms with the trauma that their parents left them with when they didn't listen to their worries. The panel with the parents was like half a chapter in the Web Novel and was definitely fleshed out enough to explain their hangups.

For those who want more story now, the free webnovel is translated into English by Magic House TL up to chapter 188. I would post the direct link but that seems to get my post deleted. Chapter 16 in the manga is at about Chapter 61 in the webnovel. If you finish all the available English translations, the original Japanese webnovel is available at both syosetu (ID: n3853hn) and kakuyomu (ID: 16816927859486361460). I recommend using google chrome's automatic translation to read it, it's quite good even with a machine translation.

The manga is great and I love it, but the webnovel has an even more relaxed pace which some people might enjoy. Also, some of the manga scenes feel like they missed details behind character motivations and feelings, which is much harder to convey in manga format compared to a webnovel.

This series is a bit blursed to me

1. The author seemingly spends a whole lot of time thinking—about the characters and their state of mind, about societies in general, and so on.
2. They sometimes come to very odd conclusions or have really glaring blind-spots in doing so. Some of them rankle (most glaringly an early episode where someone attempting rape in an alley is treated with about the same gravity as shoplifting, including being all buddy-buddy afterwards)

There's also insightful, thoughtful, and gentle moments. It... well, it comes out very "let him cook" and "why did you let him cook" simultaneously. When it's good, it can be quite good—and then sometimes it can infuriate you within seconds after a high note. A sincerely mixed bag.

Here at twenty chapters, I still have no idea whether I'm ultimately going to love or hate this, or ultimately find it memorable or forgettable. I may have a complicated relationship with this until the end.

The author is clever enough to add some novel twists to the story, put in some "if x and y then logically z", that makes it stand out as decidedly above average. Like, the MC actually looks back at their life and goes "That sucked. I guess being a genderbent elf in fantasyland is preferable", which is an unheard-of level of introspection for an isekai MC other than Rudeus.

Still, this is like the third time I read this manga, and even so I had problems remembering what it was about, because it all kinda blends together with the rest of the genre. It's the same stuff, just better executed than usual.

For the full 8, it needs to be memorable. Wow me with sparkling personality and wit, author. I believe in you!

I'm not expecting much on this manga. For me, it looks boring. I don't mind about how the MC was man and then reincarnated as a woman but the attitude is what ticks me. So yeah, I'm not really expecting this one to be a good one but an okay as a past time read.
