I was expecting the "I don't want to get the wrong idea again" bit to be a revelation that he confessed to someone who only saw him as a friend and that hurt him. But nope, he just harbored a one-sided crush on an older girl and then she got married. Because how could she possibly have her own life away from him, who did nothing but act like she was an annoyance.

Definitely not, but the art is crazy, as long as we have a nice slow burn romance with the first girl, I don't mind some needless drama here and there

I'd argue there is for the childhood friend. Then again that's life, there isn't always a grand reason for having a crush on someone.

me too, the girls on the other manga have way more personality and charm than the girls here. Plus the story flows just better

If I had a nickel for everytime a series had an mc that has 3 girls that like him but they dont do anything and then a 4th comes out of nowhere and takes the lead... I'd have 2 nickels. Which isn't a lot but, but it's weird that it happened twice.

I do think that last page is trying to imply that Sano is some kind of mastermind/puppeteer manipulating things behind the scenes or maybe she is just really prepared for something.
There is also another clue: when each girl is introduced they have flowers around them but Sano does not.
So maybe she is not a love interest but somebody with another goal in mind. Maybe she is like a self-aware character in a game?
She really stands out from the rest because she is a stranger at first.
That is like the only interesting thing I found about this manga that separates it from the rest.
It would be so funny if they add like time travel or 4th wall breaks and stuff to this.
Strange how this is kinda similar to that other manga titled "The girl who can say "I love you" is undefeatable." which released recently. Both are about three different girls being into a guy but then a fourth girl shows up.
Ok the art quality is really nice. There are many details even in background elements and no background for serious/emotional moments.
This is giving me hope that there could be intelligent or at least decent writing behind this.
Also the women aren't shown to be over-dramatic (yet?), the male lead does have vulnerabilities which could play into the plot...
but why are they into him? Hopefully that gets explained properly.
Yeah that cousin thing is weird. Another con of typical romance harem manga is that the girls are really into him for some reason.
There's also a lot of fan service but it's still better than the lewd stuff that just randomly happens out of nowhere like tripping and somehow getting into other people's clothes while somebody is wearing them.
The premise and prologue are kinda weak but I guess it's necessary to make it fair for the love interests. Haven't seen much of any unique personality but they are different.
We have: a popular classmate, a childhood friend who wants to be cool, a cousin who is trying to be smart and mature and a mysterious fourth girl.
The story has already started fine so I don't think the pacing will be too slow.
Also to any school-going young people reading this: Not every portrayal of romance in fiction is accurate. If you like somebody then you should think it over and then talk to that person. Respect the other person's wish. Also don't expect people to be attracted to you for no reason. And maybe school and love shouldn't be too close. Real relationships are complicated and are not just about being interested in someone.
