The husband is over the line and a bit of an asshole, but he isn't wrong. Abandoning your life, your husband and father of your child, shutting yourself in, and then fleeing into delusions after the death of your son is a pretty shit way to handle the situation.

I mean it’s grief. People are not exactly logical when they’re in grief. Yeah, she could’ve channeled it more constructively but that’s easier said than done.

Man this is rough for Mio. Seems like she had Taiga right at the end of highschool and he was basically her whole world - and the husband obviously wasn't exactly supportive or doing much other than keeping the bills paid. She's lost way more than just her son and he can't seem to realize he's part of the reason she's going down this route.

And rubbing the grieving mother's face in it is the exactly the wrong way to handle it. Haruji's probably not as affected because he probably didn't care to begin with.
We haven't seen a lot of his perspective, but he seems to care plenty. Men and women just handle these things differently. Men focus on moving on, putting your life back together, and restoring normalcy, which from the outside can look like they care less, but that's usually not the case.

And where rubbing her face in it is concerned, at some point she has to face the facts. If being harsh snaps her out of this frankly insane quest she's on, then it's the right thing to do. What, you think running off to read isekai LN's because you believe your son was just summoned to a fantasy world is a sensible way to cope? After she already locked herself away for a month, has severed all social connections including to her husband, and tried to commit suicide? She's clearly a mess, shows no signs of actually facing and working through her loss, and our protagonist is honestly just enabling her on this self-destructive path of pointless delusion.

The woman needs help but that definitely wasn't the way. If the husband was like that to his grieving wife I'm gussing he was probably a shit husband when Taiga was alive too.

I'm glad he didn't smack Mio.

And after Mio's attempted suicide attempts and how the root cause of that never went away, someone needed to play hard ball with her eventually.

So while the husband is still a coward/weak person for not divorcing Mio as soon as he could, the narrative does need him since pretty much everyone else lets Mio engage in/escape to some pretty dangerous delusions.

No matter what you may think of the character or how you judged his actions, Haruji is also Taiga's father and is also in grief, isn't just Mio.

Doubara may be helping, but not much.
First thing Mio need to get better is accept reality.
The way to help her is trying to understand why is so hard for her to accept Taiga's death, and it's only after she accepts that he is dead that she can't start to get better and overcome her grief.
No matter if you do this in a gently way or just grab her by the neck and shakes her until she wakes up, this is the first step. Let's not forget, why she is in this state her life is in danger.

It's incredibly odd to see people defend the husband.

The guy has cheated with her throughout the relationship! Before the kid was born, while the kid was alive and after he died.

While she is clearly delusional, seeing her response from his words and taking the scars on her wrists into account, it's clear that she is overwhelmed by pain and has completely lost control of her life. Which isn't odd, cause like mentioned in previous chapters, as a parent your kid is your life.

A man bottling up his emotions or not expressing them, btw it's weird how anger isn't considered an emotion, is just proof that he is a shitty husband.

Is this gonna go down the route of “yea my son is dead but he reincarnated into a different world and is living the best life” type of thing? Turning into acceptance of his death while also hoping for the better?

Mio is in grief, still very deep in the denial phase -grief is far more pronounced the longer and more deeply you loved, after all. She's acutely aware Taiga isn't in this world anymore, but if we were to replace "Another World" with "Heaven", is she really behaving so far out of touch with reality? There have been people who, in their grief, have looked at their dead children, those with injuries no one could survive, and get genuinely angry at doctors who didn't spend what they felt was an appropriate amount of time trying to save the deceased's life. There are plenty of people who 'go to join their loved ones in heaven' after someone close to them dies. Voluntarily or otherwise.

Throughout the entire manga, Haruji's acted with near disdain for Mio, and it's been made clear on multiple occasions that it's been that way for most of their marriage. In Ch12, Haruji himself asks, "When have we not been fighting?" in reference to an acquaintance talking about Mio having flown the coop. It's true that we're not shown how strong/weak his connection to Taiga was, and his behavior towards her may or may not be exacerbated by grief, but it's not new. Don't defend it.

In all this context, Doubara's not much different from a pastor that's giving her a slow and steady excuse to keep living, until she's able to leave her grief behind in a more healthy manner. Just because he's connecting with her outside the context of religion shouldn't undermine his efforts. He doesn't believe in what she's trying to do, but he's still genuinely trying to keep her alive, and is using his foot in the door by being someone she trusts on the topic to guide her back to wanting to live. He's not the best choice, but right now he's the only one she trusts.

That or final chapter she moves on finally actually accepting it... And then the son comes back which would make me laugh hard enough to burst blood vessels.

I can't entirely blame the husband when it's been 4 entire months...
Sure, I can't probably relate to any of this since luckily I'm not a parent, and much less had anyone in my family die yet, but still, running away from reality forever isn't an option, I think...

so, here is where it could go dark route, or salvation route.

ps: we are like at the half of this story?

It's been 4 months. It's past the point of grief for both of them. I find it weird that Mio has this giant circle of friends going out out their way to look for her, but no one can be bothered to pull Haruji out of the gutter.

When you think of it that way Doubara seems like a predator. It's absurd no one's contacted the police or that she's able to leave again like that.
