I'm glad they changed Manaria's reappearance, it feels more natural here than in LN where she returned in the last chapter as some sort of last minute asspull.

Would someone care to remind me who this Manaria was again?
She is the childhood friend of Claire that visited the academy in the first arc. She tried to make the MC act on her feelings with some of the most retarded ways known to modern mangaverse (including threatening to rape Claire as well) and almost permanently broke their bond as a result (and blamed Rae for it while setting up impossible to beat challanges). Claire was about to go along with her until Rae pulled a deux ex tree branch out her ass and beat her latest impossible challange.

She is probably the worst and most broken (power wise) character in the entire story. Also forced herself on to her maid because, apparently, she was no longer able to contain her horny (aka a rapist). Powers wise, she is what you would expect an actual main character of a game would look like. But next to her, Rae looks like a weak civilian mob. She is probably the weakest magic user in the entire story which is a choice i guess. She never pulls through during these sort of fights without excessive outside help.

Friend and distant relative of Claire and princess who temporarily fled her country for a reason that gets explained better later in the novels. We won't get to those parts. She was antagonistic towards Rae earlier but is an ally afterwards.

Thanks for the chapter!

And thanks for showing the parts where Lilly used kare and when Alter used ore. I understand that orekko is a trope as old as bokukko, but the kare part was a pretty sharp unsubtle hint.

Woah woah when did this happen
When Manaria confronts Rae after the break up she explains that she laid her hands on a maid. Due to the power imbalance there wasn't really a way for consent (in the anime she directly says there was no way she could've refused). The manga shows the maid on the floor upside down. Anime shows Manaria embracing her from behind.

In general, no matter how mutual it might/could have been, Manaria herself sees it as rape.

You've actually seen Manaria's maid or obsessed lover in the manga but it was basically a panel and she's not the focus yet. Forgot which chapter they showed her. She attends the school. That's basically a minor easter egg, since the manga won't reach any parts where she plays a role. I'd read the LNs to understand what happened there.
