So they moved up the confrontation between Manaria and Lilly and even raised the stakes a bit. I can understand why. Since they aren‘t adapting the Nur arc, left as is, Lilly would have remained an antagonist right up to the end without getting a chance at redemption. The biggest tragedy of this series is how Lilly always gets the short end, so it’d be nice if she ended the manga series on a high note.

As for Manaria, I can’t imagine they’d kill her outright, but since she already dealt with Alter (Evil Lilly), they need an excuse for why she doesn’t just let loose in the big finale. Salas is dangerous, but neither he nor anyone else left on his side is even close to Manaria’s level. All she really needs to do to fulfil her part is to give a certain someone a good kick in the rear.

I mean at this point just ransack the place, knock her out and take her away. Her pride has reached retardation levels. Who are you showing off it to? Who are you trying to impress? She is like an indoctrinated toddler refusing to stay alive. I would rather have the person i love alive and hating my guts than being dead and prideful. What a dumbass.

I can't see what Claire is doing as anything else than misplaced pride, so it's hard not to think she's being purely stupid while everyone else is actually trying to get shit done.

Yeah its not too overthought. That thing of realizing that her father always loved her so she does not want to detatch from this noble pride that it was all that her father was about.

And well when she realized that things were not working, her mindset was more or less ready to die for the new era, because that was how it was going to go anyways.

Yeah, it’s pretty much half assed.. she knows how stubborn Rae is, and she purposely missed her spell. Everything is half assed.. I’m glad to see Lily on the back foot.. She is way too overpowered and the plot had her back until now..I really didn’t like Lily’s character, both the split personality ones… I am glad that Manaria was not a one off character and is actually holding up here.. Usually any previous “strong” characters are only strong in their arc but pretty become canon fodder when they join the MC’s team but here Manaria is still strong and holds her own!! I wish the other series “
Tensei Oujo to Tensai Reijou no Mahou Kakumei-The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young Lady” would have followed the same route as this series and adapted all the light novels!
This isn't adapting all the LNs

It looks like the only way Rae will be able to keep Claire alive is to destroy the kingdom herself.

MagiRevo manga adapted the first main arc, which is 3 LNs; WataOshi manga is adapting the first main arc, which is 2 LNs.

MagiRevo anime also adapted the first main arc, whereas WataOshi anime got like 1/3 of the way in.

Claire believes her life has no value. She took the lesson of volume 6 the wrong way, and now she believes that she, and to a degree the rest of the nobility, are worthless leeches- better off dead.

If she at all sees fit for her own life to end, well, she's ready to face that.

This is a regular problem in Act 2, books 3-5, but I won't spoil the details. It's also what makes Rae and Claire such an excellent pairing; Claire needs someone who will never stop reminding her how much she is valued.

Rae is holding back right now. She doesn't want to make Claire's rescue about herself. Little does she know that being selfish, telling Claire how much she needs her, is the one thing that would change Claire's mind...

Thanks for clarifying a few things for me.

Still, how is Manaria going to survive this if she is poisoned with the intent to kill her and she used only way to save herself to break the Salas spell on Lily? From what I can see is super dead unless someone other intervene. Which would be kind of cool as Salas would have international incident to deal with in meantime.

Btw, any idea why are they skipping Nur arc and ending story here? I heard that it is not as good as the rest of the story but can you please give exact examples why?

"Nur arc" probably just means act 2. It's set in the Nur Empire. It's not being adapted for multiple reasons, but the given reason was that Inori-sensei is afraid of a cancellation happening halfway through... Don't forget, act 1 has taken 5-and-a-half years to adapt, it started in late 2020...

It's a massive shame, because while yeah act 2 has problems, I think an adaptation would be the perfect chance to clean them up.

Also, act 2 is definitely still canon to the manga, at least! There's been a handful of cameos of act 2 characters. Dorothea at the end of chapter 18, DQ in the middle of chapter 55... Rae is seen from behind, but look just a page earlier- her hair is never that long. Kinda a fringe theory but over in the watacord we like to think it's DQ.

Yeah. There's also the effect it has on the mangaka too. Aono's been doing this without pretty much any breaks while doing 2 manga that's rough on the body.

That said, how far the manga continues and what it covers is still not set in stone.
We can go into
the wedding and Aleah/May adoption
or some of the side stories in vol 3. Be sure to send your opinions to the magazine and let them know you want to see the good stuff past the ending of arc 1.
