The way I see this going is that the author is speeding up time so that Mashuu becomes an adult so that a relationship with Satoko is more "acceptable." They did say that there wouldn't be any romance when Mashuu was a child, so author is working around that so that time speeds up. Maybe.

Or maybe this upcoming subplot with the schoolgirl love "rival" will change that. Who knows (I haven't read any raws).

Whatever happens, I'll still be here on this wild ride.
