Being different from others is not a bad thing. If you polish it as part of your individuality, it could become a strength.

I kind of get she's trying to give Lucifer (that is an unfortunate name for one to have, btw) some comfort, but I get the feeling some people will really take that the wrong way and make it worse for themselves and those with similar interests yet having a sane/moral mind. It really speaks for how one takes 'pride' in themselves, but in an unhealthy and self-destructive manner.
