Pixel is actually being really flexible here. She was thrown into a world where everything seems to be going wrong and she still has the strength to push away the archetypes that would make this complex world simple.
Having the strength to accept that you're not the main character is something many of us in the real world still can't do, it has to be a million times harder when you literally are in the body of the main character.
