mc sure is a glorified fujo... the whole attitude towards gay couples being all it's fine in fiction but it's gross when it's reality. so tired of this kind of character never being seen as problematic.

Somehow I'm kinda into this because everyone seems dumb and/or and miserable. The main character treats this like the stupid game world where there's all these idiotic contrivances so that there can be male couples for female readers to cheer on that it is, but for everyone else it's a horrible nightmare where somehow titles and privileges are hereditary even though the dominant form of romance is homosexual. There's not much mention of women and how they're treated, but considering the game's story has the sister bear a child just for convenience and that there's a social movement where the powerful use a woman to have a child and otherwise don't seem to care about them... well, it's not good.

It's kind of casually creating a nightmarish world that the main character just finds annoying because she knows all life is transitory and has seen this story before, but everyone else in this world is taking it seriously and feels trapped and pressured.

@Weoooo The consequences to this world being the way it is makes it somewhat interesting. I admit, part of me is enjoying her suffering, as light as it might be, because I've seen far too much of the "let's make everyone gay!" type stuff with manga and beyond. Though, she is taking the situation far better than a lot of women would; having men they want to have a relationship with ditch them to be with other men is something that women really hate.

Still way too much BL for me, but damn if it isn't amusing to see the two knights thinking the same way.
