It WILL be a race betwen fish-girl and fox-girl to see who gets to test first whether that "inmortality due to eating mermaid flesh" thing has any hard limits, and of course, whether said limits are best reached by dismemberment, incineration, devouring, or a combination of those.

You mean blowing up by a bomb up close is not enough for you ? Azami kamikaze herself into Shiori and she still there, granted it have taken her time to put herself back to together. She probably is on par with Plastic-man level of immortality (dude has been frozen and smash into piece and still put himself back together like nothing happen)

This is the second time Hinako's memory proved extremely untrustworthy to a very severe degree given the consequences in store, it's legitimately impressive she hasn't gone through an anxiety-fueled gestalt break at this point.

If the first time you're talking about was with Miko, I think that one doesn't really count as a severe degree. From what I remember, her extent of memory tampering was just making it so she... well, she existed, as well as making her Hinako's friend. Which, I mean, is pretty bad, but given the circumstances and the fact that she fully acted as her friend with zero ulterior motives, I don't think it's really a big deal. Like, if I was in Hinako's shoes, if anything, I'd be thankful that Miko messed with my memories a bit to make herself friends with me.

I wrote that whole thing and then remembered there were several chapters about how Shiori erased Hinako's memories of her and now I feel like a fool. I just refuse to delete it because I spent some good time writing that.
