Sincerely, this manga is not for you and you should find yourself a GL series much less subtle for your brain——lesbian porn, if necessary.
As I said, I'm not saying that a relationship is just kisses to call it a relationship, there should at least be a bit of mutual affection, like spending time together and showing that both enjoy it, Hinako telling Shiori that she is important, and having date-like moments like in the first chapters. At no point did I say to see them have sex or anything like that, because, as I said, it's about seeing progress in a relationship built on reciprocity and affection that was there at the start but later slowed down a bit in showing that progress to having close moments that actually feel like moments. At the beginning, the GL romance was going well, but now it hasn’t made progress in having the moments a romance should have to actually feel like one.

It's being paced well enough in terms of emotional connection and growth between Shiori and Hinako. As for dates and romantic physical moments, the way the story is going right now, it would feel forced to have them? The way Hinako doesn't jump at Azami's offer to die? How she continues to trust Shiori despite knowing how the selfishness of Shiori has affected at least two lives? How she doesn't wish Shiori dead DESPITE knowing that her giving her blood is why she couldn't join her family in death?

Romantic subtext is littered between the way their connection continues to grow.

We continue to see it in the way Shiori fussed over her and made sure all that blood wasn't Hinako's even tho technically, she should have been able to smell.

As for the physical romantic moments, I think we're gonna get some cute domestic stuff. They're gonna be living together. I'm pretty sure Miko's probably going to be stepping out a lot since she's an active and social creature and Shiori will be the one on main guard duty.

Then again....... I don't want to put my guard down seeing as Shiori's brought up some curiosity as to what/who Erica is. She might be trying to investigate and leaving Miko with Hinako.

I love Miko but I do think we need some more intimate moments with Hinako and Shiori.

In short, we have a pause on the dates but they're still being plenty gay without them.

First of all, I apologize because I know, my friend, that I really went overboard with what I said earlier. Going a bit straight to the point, you're right that their emotional connection has grown so much. Hinako already said that Shiori is the most important thing for her, and from there it already shows that Hinako knows she loves Shiori, because she even stood up for her when Azami spoke badly about her, and she didn’t say anything to the tanuki when she did the same to Miko (and that’s her best friend lol). I really feel these homey moments are now when closeness will happen.

The plot has moved forward, and it’s time to advance the relationship a bit too, which is why I also want intimate moments between the two. Answering the first point, in chapter 62, she said she no longer hates that Shiori was kind to her, so Hinako indirectly admitted that she did hate Shiori’s selfishness, but when she listened to her heart and they had the conversation on the beach, Hinako saw that Shiori’s feelings are genuine and I think that made her see that Shiori, despite having been selfish, did it out of love, and that made her realize that she truly loved her and see her differently. Also, let's be honest, she said she would still be friends with Miko when she found out she was a psychopathic murderous monster, so when you put it like that, Shiori doesn’t look that bad lol.

More than her blood ruining 2 lives, she understood that with Azami it was a desire to live, a kind act with selfishness, but with a desire to do a good deed. Hinako saw it that way because she even said that although neither she nor Azami could appreciate Shiori’s kindness, at least with Hinako the blood was before the accident, so there really isn’t pure selfishness in making her live. That’s why Hinako stopped seeing it as something bad when she saw that Shiori did everything for Hinako out of love and not pure selfishness. Hinako, at some point, acts cruelly toward Shiori; she didn’t need to hate her because just knowing she was going to eat her was enough for her.

She needed to hate her because just knowing she was going to be eaten was enough for her, and you can see that when they go to their parents' grave. Hinako didn’t care about Shiori except for the promise of reuniting her with her family, but upon realizing that Shiori truly loved her, she stopped just seeking to die and yearning for her parents, but she also understood that she loves Shiori and that’s why she apologizes to her. I really hope these homey chapters do well for their relationship—they deserve it, and now that Hinako has admitted that Shiori is the most important, it’s time for her to show it. Lastly, something unrelated to this: I don’t think Shiori is going to investigate Erica too much.

When she delivered the blow, Shiori noticed something and said: it must be her, maybe she realized what she was the moment she touched her, and knowing Azami it’s likely she’s a yokai from Japanese folklore with just magic or maybe a counter to mermaids or an enemy since she hates her so much to have something just for Shiori and it explains because Azami said that Miko was an annoying element, maybe Erica is a yokai that's good against Shiori but not against anyone else.

I think there are a few misinterpretations here.

First of all, Hinako never hated Shiori. She did feel disillusioned and betrayed when it turned out Shiori was lying to her, but hate is too strong of a word. Hinako is generally good-natured to hate anyone + she is too focused on her own inner torment to despise others. She never felt too strongly about Ayame, Tsubaki (when she was antagonizing Miko) or Azami, or at least we've never seen it yet.

Secondly, about the scene at the cemetery: Hinako wasn't intentionally cruel and she did care about Shiori, but as I wrote above, she was too absorbed in her own suffering to recognize that Shiori cares about her like her family did, that she is not just an immortal who will easily move on once she dies.
In this sense they both were unintentionally cruel to each other: Shiori due to lacking empathy and understanding human nature, and Hinako due to failing to notice feelings of people (well, not really) close to her.

And finally, her wish to die didn't go anywhere, see chapter 47. She just realizes now that her desire to join her parents hurts Miko and especially Shiori and that they'd suffer the same way she did after losing her parents if she were gone.

Aint no such thing as death being painless pseudo Aizen

My god AND WHERE THE FUCK WERE YOU SHIROI
SUDDENLY REMEMBER COMPETENCE HMM?
Can Finally do something Jeez
Or not LOL

Ah yes wander back out of concern instead of scoping the place out ahead of time
You two care so much

Yeah go back and take off your shoes before going inside shiori

OI GET BACK OVER THERE PSEUDO AIZEN
WHOS GONNA CLEAN UP ALL THIS BLOOD YOU DRAPED ON THE GODDAMN GROUND

Come on guys you can't be slipping now
It's potential life or death you NEED to be assuming the worst in these situations
Paranoia is good

I dunno if I said it before
But we can always toss immortal lady into the sun
Or pull a wolverine and trap her at the bottom of the ocean
Eternal suffering

Yes
You shouldve started with that
Fools
Or at least done something TO SCOPE OUT THE HOUSE BEFORE JUST LEAVING HINAKO TOO IT
I can't overstate how stupid it feels to me, what's the one place someone's vulnerable and a bodyguard isn't likely to follow them? Their shower
Bedroom
The brains of an adolescent clearly as well as form

We are getting small intimate moments while the plot is thickening. But like I said, I think the moving in together will give us a chance to really see intimacy grow between Shiori and Hinako.

I don't think Hinako ever hated Shiori. She's entirely too sympathetic and understanding I think. She didn't even hate Ayame despite her trying to eat her.

Hinako realized Shiori is acting out of kindness but operates on her limited view? The problem lies in both of them lacking empathy I suppose. Shiori thought she gives humans greater chances for survival with her gifts. And she sort of did learn her lesson with Azami seeing as she only gifted the child who so diligently cared for her a drop of her blood to ward off illnesses. For Azami, her people tried to feed her to a mermaid for the town's prosperity. Of course in Shiori's mind, she was helping her survive the cruelty of others and since time works differently, or at least vastness of it is less severe for Shiori, she didn't see how giving Azami an abunance of time would make her feel.

Honestly feels like Azami might also be angry, not only due to lack of choice, but because she's spent most of her life shunned by both monster and human alike? She can't make lasting connections with humans because they'll ostracize her for her immortality and monsters, well cases like Miko and Shiori seem to be rare, would probably eat her. I really do wonder Erica's story though.

Hinako was trying to get Shiori and Miko to be friends so they can move one easier upon her passing... and I believe Miko pointed out that Shiori is putting up with her for Hinako's sake. Hinako is the most important being in Shiori's life, possibly in her entire existence. Hinako realizing that she's as important to Shiori as her family is to her allows her to see how cruel her wish to die truly is for the people to care about her, what's more she realizes what a monster she is because she still wishes Shiori to pull through with her vow despite knowing the magnitude Shiori feels for her.

I really hope the author doesn't come up with an excuse to pull Shiori out of the home. I need more domestic fluffy moments between these two.
