I guess Shiori becoming better (morally) is still possible, the author keeps hinting on it (or giving red herrings), but I don't feeeeellll like Shiori would...

According to Shiori, depression(technically suicidal urges) makes you "smell like a dead whale", so.. no.
Note that Hinako is both able to smell out monsters and can see monster blood and it becomes obvious she's had som kind of spiritual awakening, which is presumably why she's yummy.
No idea how/why she awakened, though.
