Ok rougher but solid ground, I'd suggest finding her a reason to live although I believe she may be far past that
Overall the outcome makes sense for these characters, I've yet to see proof of thou giving hinako a health relationship if anything if it goes how the deal made goes, both parties will be dead before we get anything which is very much undesired

So I declare fishsticks remain a clown for my amusement although I see potential for change, thou must see how turn out first

I hope so. but considering how all this time Shiori never approach Hinako as an object of affections, it's kinda farfechted if Shiori meant in sexual ways.....

honestly, I still hold the hopes of happy ending after Shiori reveal her lies to eat Hinako. but after this chapter where Shiori gives blood oath to really eat Hinako, it seems the bad ending (and the tragedy tag) appear again in my mind......

Shiori’s character is built on not understanding humans

If we put her in an animalistic perspective— to her, she doesn’t understand why one would suffer survival guilt

All she’d want is to survive, no? That’s what animals do. They do whatever to benefit their survival or their offspring.

She’s never experienced family because she has none. She’s never experience loss (in a sense you suffer very much) because she has none. She can’t form a bond with people like she said.

She doesn’t understand why Hinako thinks this way. Give her a thousand year, she still won’t be able to understand the extend of what being”human” truly feels like.

For those who read this chapter and still don't get a fucking point.

Before Shiori met hinako, she gave eternal life to a human girl just because she feel connected with the feeling of having an ally but that girl hates her for that and only sees shiori as a heartless monster.

When shiori met hinako who very innocent and naive that treat her like a real friend, she felt thankful that's why she gave her blood with a sincere wish that hinako will live a long happy healthy life. shiori didn't know it will ruin hinako cause it made hinako survived the tragedy that she wish to die with her family. that truth hurt shiori too.

Shiori tried her best to fix her mistake and understand human this time. she didn't give up on hinako like what she did with the girl in her past. Shiori didn't give up on hinako even though hinako already gave up on her life. That's the whole point of this series. so, the tragic ending will ruin the character development so badly.

Keep in mind that both of them are still in the process of healing and growing up.
