Wait, the translation function of the ring stopped again? I was guessing it only stopped because the sword function drained all of the "power" in the ring and it slowly recharged somehow to activate the translation again, and also guessed that the translation function would have a low enough drain that it could stay active if it was the only function being used. I guess that proves at least my second theory wrong.
