With each chapter, this gets worse and worse. Like, you know there are at least three other reincarnators near you what kind of OG story are you talking about? The more complex the author tries to make the story, the more it falls apart.
The fact it's been clear they're interfering from so early on as well makes it completely ridiculous. Since he's basically changed entirely as a character anyone who also reincarnated will catch onto him pretty quick, he's also revealed it to a few others by now.

Absolutely anyone would then begin to take action to try and control the flow of the story, a fucking super nerd in the game would definitely be doing his best to enjoy the game as well. The motivations are complete dogshit, who let this fucking guy cook?!? Take his ass off the stove.

Really not sure how to feel about this manga. There's a lot of places where things are clearly skipped, the translation is awful, and there's a dozen places where people really should figure things out sooner.

But juggling a multi-stage classwide battle wasn't half bad, and they didn't make it all about the MC or stomping everything with stats.

They chapter shows the strange interaction between MAV/Souta and Kaoru, but left a lot unexplained. Kaoru is used to the cringey perv stalker Souta from the game, but he's been very respectful since the school year started. She's starting to look closer at him to see what has changed. The events of the class competition are too much for her to ignore. How did he win deepest floor/best gem, why is he skinny?!, Why is he not creeping on her like he used to? She's both curious and wary because he's clearly hiding something. Souta has an "inner piggy" who madly loves Kaoru, but Mav is suppressing it. He's torn between letting piggy out and revealing his secrets to Kaoru, and keeping the plot on line and letting her go. This contributes to their weird tension.

There's also an important detail from the LN the manga left out. Spoil at your own pleasure.
Souta was cleaning up before Kaoru showed up. Before his bath, he put the dungeon laundry out to dry. That includes Kano's dungeon equipment. Before Kaoru leaves she sees the mask Kano was wearing and puts together who their mysterious helper was. We can assume she's realizing Souta is hiding way more than a personality change.
With each chapter, this gets worse and worse. Like, you know there are at least three other reincarnators near you what kind of OG story are you talking about? The more complex the author tries to make the story, the more it falls apart.
Souta's strict desire to stick to the game's storyline is one of the more contentious parts of the story. On one hand, he believes that using the story is valuable foreknowledge for his (and his family's) survival. This is true to some extent. But on the other hand, the longer he and the other players exist in the world the more little changes start to add up. At some point story events will be different enough that his predictions won't be useful. Souta is like an unreliable narrator where his first-person POV is allowed to be wrong. That kind of flawed MC adds tension, and invites us to scream "WHAT ARE YA DOING STUPID?"

I went and read Chinese Translation of Page 14, Panel 2 (of course its unofficial) of the manga, and it was supposed to be “Kaoru does not have bad ending like Satsuki anyway”.

What he trying to say is that he does not wanted Kaoru to know any stuff that is DLC related, since she does not have a bad end, unlike Satsuki.

So instead of 'just like' it should be 'unlike Satsuki'. Which is amusing, as I read it that way to begin with and completely glassed over that wasn't how it actually read. :D

In other news, "This is Satou's bathwater right?"... Uhhhh.... Right, don't kink shame.

For me, it's feels like she's trying to force their old relationship. I'm ok with her changing, but I don’t like her as a heroine.
That's because the manga didn't explain much of her background.

Her mom was a top tier adventurer, but when Kaoru was very little her mom died in one expedition, she was very depressed but Souta managed to cheer her up and often invited her to play together with his sister Kano, eventually she managed to recover from her loss due to it, they both shared a lot of promises together.
Souta promised that they would dive together and reach unexplored places. Some time later they promised they would marry each other when they grew up.
Then in middle school he completely changed, Souta became Fat, Lazy and Unmotived.
She was also bullied a lot when she was a kid and Souta always protected her.

Wait… how come did he not get turned back? Did he run out of food? I thought he had a gluttony debuff, or was that skill just a passive for storing extra energy?
That’s how I was thinking of it. He has to eat enough food. I was just assuming he hasn’t been eating like that. Or he turned the skill off. Idk.

I really dont like kaoru , i don’t know why
Because no one likes NTR.
Her route has the player literally NTR'ing some fat dude because yes.
Souta's motivations for being a creep never made any sense.
Player steals his CF, expels him from the school (on the grounds of sexual harassment when Kaoru is way stronger than him), and the Chef's kiss is his entire family being killed off on a terrorist attack.
