I know, and half of them aren't on the recap pagetoo many side characters ~.~
This manga is so fucking confusing. I can't tell is its too many side characters, the mid translation (like what was with page 10 of last chapter) or that the artist has no idea how to do a page separation so there's no sense of transition into a new scene. I really want to like this but I feel like I can't keep up.
It's because there are like 12 plotlines going on at the same time and the author expects you to remember every single one and all the characters involved in them, even though most of them are generic as hell. Not sure why, but reading this magna feels like its either random or chapters are missing. Plot/story jumps all over the place even inside chapters themselves. Cute girls kinda save this for me, but they are on "screen" once per while, and the artist style of drawing - often making their legs horrible looking - starts to lose the battle with overall annoyance this story/MC kinda create.
Same thought, I can't track any of them. I'm just gonna skim characters that I can't recognize but aren't being introduced and hope if they matter later I can get someone smarter to explain.too many side characters ~.~
Player factions:
- Nitta Risa: Lust debuff. Team and friend with Oomiya Satsuki. Allies with MC for survival? (MC better than Takuya)
- Tsukishima Takuya: Sloth Debuff. Custom character. Solo
- Demon Player. Name: Arthur . Nickname: the Flash. Envy debuff. Stuck in the dungeon, due to being a monster. Goal: return to human and leave the dungeon. Allies with MC due to MC helping him + friends with Tenma
I probably should’ve written Unique skill. What the heck is a debuff?
This is it. The real problem isn't even the million pissants the author expects you to keep track of, its that there's a dozen subplots battling for attention and the main plot is given exactly as much time as Classmate Rando Q Fuckballs' journey of self discovery, so everything just draaaaaags. Every single chapter needs to deal with at least three different plots and ends up doing nothing satisfying by the end. It's because there are like 12 plotlines going on at the same time and the author expects you to remember every single one and all the characters involved in them, even though most of them are generic as hell.
The story is really cool when you get MC actively doing stuff, dungeon diving, fighting strong foes and overall growing, but for some reason the author decided we only get to see that once every 50 chapters and everything else is this mindnumbing high school politics shit between a million variations of the same "smug noble who thinks commoners are shit" archetype and the classmates (who mostly eat shit because they are understandably green as fuck). All while MC either does nothing or is only proactive in humilliating himself to hide his powerlevel.
It's hard to give a fuck about all of this stuff when not even the fucking protagonist seems to care.
