Can someone spoil me max the rest of the story? And what’s under the armor of best girl tenma akira ?
Judging by the notes at the end, there's barely any "rest of the story" because the manga is almost caught up lmao
They needed the hiatus to make more source content.

i still wonder how the rating for this manga is as high as it is, feel like they ruined it a lot by making the mc a pussy for most of the manga and the whole following the story bullshit. also confused how this is romance and even harem there was none of them. wish the manga was more about fighting monsters/dungeon stuff it felt like a school drama for 99% of it

The girl at the end looks a little like the sister, but since the author really wants the childhood friend to be important, it's probably her...

Only the manga, it's pretty consistent when it comes to reviews and sales, but the novel is going down last volume was not good

My first thought was, "Huh? Wasn't it this interesting?" The story only progressed over the course of two entire volumes [6 .7], to the point where it was simply "We dealt with the terrorists who had invaded a high-rise building." There was no sense of progress, and while a fair number of new characters were introduced, they weren't explored in any significant depth. The drama surrounding the existing characters also didn't deepen. Just when you thought the opposing enemy had been resolved, it was quickly wrapped up in a few lines. Perhaps the scale of the world the author wanted to depict exceeded his capacity? The story is shallow, and merely digested as an event. It was disappointing

The manga on top of a great premise, art and potentially likeable cast, had a great start, so what the fuck happened, why create a story where the main point is it deviates from the "original story" as the protagonist and other people from our world are dropped into it, only for the MC to try as much as fucking possible to do NOTHING and consistently keep the plot boring.

The only reason why he gets to do cool shit is because he is forced to by other player's will, yes that's basically his goal but what does it matter when THE STORY HAS ALREADY DEVIATED SO FUCKING MUCH FROM THE STORY ALREADY, he and the other players are exponentially stronger than the characters that they can most likely deal with incoming disasters and event, so what does it fucking matter if they stick to the story???

Actually so frustrating, he's making preparations to prevent bad things he knows happened in the story, but at the same time wants to maintain the story and even then that is already pointless because they've deviated so much

The author has no idea what he's doing, I think he has a vague idea of how it will end, but the scope of the world he created is too much for him to handle.
He made a "tournament arc" - "The Exam" Arc but could not properly introduce to rest of the cast and develop them, the whole thing felt pointless and the whole MC going at full power felt that it was a development for him to stop wanting to hide his power level and start being proactive since he almost died together with two important heroines

The result was none of the characters he introduced were properly developed, and the MC went back to do the same bullshit as nothing happened.

The duel with Tsukishima was basically the same, we barely know anything about him or his goals and there was zero consequence, MC also didn't change a bit
The author used Risa to paint him as some sort of good guy, but all he did so far in the story was sabotaging class E for no compelling reason.

It would make more sense if he secretly went to check Souta to see if he was a player

TL;DR:
The novel is technically only 1 arc ahead, with it's content being about 2 light novels long.
The majority of the events takes place about 1 week after the Tsukishima fight.
And what’s under the armor of best girl tenma akira ?
The light novel has no images of what the current Tenma looks like underneath the armour.
But in Chapter 6 of the manga-

TAM.jpg

Can't confirm if that's what her face currently looks like.
Probably not, as it's more likely to be after her curse is lifted.
Plus, the character designer for the light novel could just retcon it in the future.

Spoilers galore.
Some information might be incorrect.
<> Known to the world
[] State secret of Japan
|| State secret of other nations
{} Only the Players know; so far at least.

Starter: <Newbie>.

Basic: <Fighter>, <Caster>, <Thief>.

Intermediate: <Warrior>, <Archer>, <Priest>, <Wizard>, |Knight|, {Warrior Mage}.

Unconfirmed in-between: |Rouge|, {Monk}.

Advanced: [Samurai], [Holy Woman/Saint], {Assassin}, |Berserker|, {Sorcerer}, {Shadow Walker}, |Cleric|, {Machinist}, {Sword Dancer}, {Aura Master}, {Tamer}, |Necromancer|, |Sage|.

Expert: {Weaponmaster}, {Ninja}, {Demon Lord}, {Sword Saint}, {Dark Knight}, {Summoner},{Elementist}.

Unique: {Hero} *Listed as unique. No information which tier it ranks in

You can't class change back into <Newbie>. Meaning, Akagi and friends have missed out on the passive +3 slot skills.

The manga is just a teeny tiny bit ahead of the EN LN.
The spider summon beast that Arthur uses is called <Arachne Monarch>, it would summon an adult woman with the body of a two-meter-wide spider from the waist down. It's current form is due to the summoner's lower level.

The original owner of the body Arthur is possessing lives in a castle on the 38th floor. The scene where Souta was serving Arthur was extended; it was a celebration for winning against Tsukishima. After Satsuki and Kano joined them after going for a food supply run, Arthur uses <Gate> to connect to the castle throne room to have a mini party there.

It is revealed that Arthur had hatched a fat hippo-looking juvenile flame dragon after trying to cook an egg he found in the castle's storage. The dragon is intelligent and can speak. (Additionally, it has it's mother's memories.) For now, they named it Hippogon.
Hippogon.png

*Even though it's less then 3 months old, it's level surpasses the 38th floor.
*They couldn't appraise it with a Appraisal Wand.
*An adult flame dragon was the floor boss of the 80th floor in DunEx.
*Dragons are special beings similar to Furufuru and the host of Arthur's body
*The beta test featured a different species of dragon being dropped on the Players.

Satsuki is already level 20 by this point. She can also use <Qiqong Fist>.

The untranslated stuff.
It's what I interpreted from a machine translation, so the accuracy is questionable.
I struggled with choosing if I should use the official translation for the names of the organizations and summarizing everything.
Anyways
Souta goes on an expedition with Kano, Spider-form Arthur, Tenma, Kurosaki and Kuga to the 22nd floor to build a base.

Kano shows off her <Golem Castle> skill. *Skill from <Machinist> job

They encounter the evolved form of the floor boss of the 22nd Floor; An "Ugarm Queen".

It's stronger than a normal Ugram Queen as it has multiple levels up after defeating the dozens of clans that tried to hunt it. It's fur is pure white instead of light gray and it's twice the normal size, about 8 meters long. It is a passive monster, only retaliating when attacked.

Tenma falls for it's cuteness and wants to protect it, and Arthur reveals that it can be turned into a "pet??" with a job. *Didn't tell her how to class change into a <Tamer>
p038.jpg

Souta pitches the idea of attempting to break Tenma's curse to Kurosaki, he doesn't get a reply as Kurosaki had to chase after Tenma; who somehow started riding the Ugarm Queen.

Through Souta's inner monologue, we learn that Tenma's endgame parameters after being released from the curse is a "balance breaker comparable to Kaoru and Sera". He wants to save her as "With the game's storyline becoming unstable, he needed as many trustworthy and strong companions as possible to avoid a tragic future". *He does also consider her an important friend.

---

Risa and Satsuki hold a training session with a small group of Class E members; Yuuma and Friends, and Majima's party.

We get Kaoru's pov, where she notes the changes in Souta's behavior and the Narumi family seemingly becoming more lively and cheerful. She also notes that he is deeply favored by Risa and Satsuki.

Majima's group push their luggage onto Souta and insinuate that he had tagged along to the training session uninvited. Kaoru defends him, stating that Souta was invited and that their actions were no different from the treatment Class E had received from the upper classes. Despite Kaoru's protest, Souta chooses to avoid any arguments by carrying the luggage.

As they proceed to the location of the training session; Kaoru, wanting to test Souta's strength and fish for information about the masked swordsman; invites him to be her practice partner. But he turns her down, telling her he already had a partner.

His partner turns out to be Tenma, who; after ignoring Majima's greeting, cheerfully threw away the baggage Souta was carrying. Because she's a noble, no one got mad at her.

The training session was just a cover for setting up a first encounter between Tenma and Yuuma. Kurosaki, who doesn't trust Souta; wanted to get a grasp on Yuuma's character first.

Yuuma's sparring session with Tenma was interrupted by the appearance of Tachibana Sakon, the captain of the First Swordsmanship Club.

Tachibana makes a request to Risa to be taught how to fight with both the sword and magic. Risa agrees to teach him a little but only if he helps train the members of Class E. He accepts her terms.

Souta remarks internally that with the game's storyline falling apart, they needed all the help they can get to boost the protagonist team's growth. He also notes that the biggest obstacles in dungeon exploration were Demons and Spirits; which Yuuma has incredibly high affinity for. That affinity is also the trigger to save many heroines.

---

Kusonoki was the only one that wasn't forced by Sagara to sign a contract spell.

She was able to record the entire Tsukishima fight and report everything to Mikami Haruka.

They rank Souta as being among the top adventurers in Japan.

After lamenting on the difficulty of enticing and keeping him under their control, Mikami subtly suggests going after his family members. *"There was no warmth in her eyes."

Kusunoki insists on the value of building a cooperative relationship, highlighting Souta's conflict-averse personality and easiness to talk to.

Mikami speculates that Souta might not be a member of Oboro/Umbra and was more likely a "Divine Being" similar to the (Saints).

We get some lore drop.

**There's <Saint>; the JOB. And (Saints); a group of girls.

When dungeons first appeared a 100 years ago, a group of 4 girls possessing unknown skills and knowledge immediately entered the dungeon and "raced through them like a garden, setting records of success at an incredible speed".

They laid the foundation for dungeon conquering. *How deep they got to and why they stopped was not specified.

They are all still alive and over 120 years old. "someone who saw their true faces testified that they "looked as youthful as a young girl." *Reminder that leveling up seems to make the person younger, so...

The 4 of them are currently under the protection of different countries; Japan, Europe(Holy Empire), Central Asia and South America. Naturally, they all wield powerful influence.

*Why are they split up? No idea. Or maybe they were a group in the sense of a classification and not a party. Btw, the Japan one should be Sera's Great-grandmother.

Their topic shifts to Tsukishima, where they plan to incite the First Magic Club to clash with the Holy Women's Organization in order to "gather information on Tsukishima".

Mikami gives Kusunoki full authority over the matter but advises her to withdraw if the (Saints) make any movement.

*"This is because (Saints) are stronger than any adventurer, wield a number of unbelievable supernatural powers, such as resurrecting the dead, and are considered guardian deities to their country."

We get more lore drop.

The <Samurai> job is regarded as having the "greatest melee firepower" and is designated as a top-secret state secret and the key to Japan's national defense.

The leading members of Colours have multiple contract spells engraved onto their bodies, if any one of them were to leak information; all of them would die.

The Holy Empire, Eastern Europe's leading adventurer nation; was founded in the 1990s by adventurers led by a single (Saint).

They have been experimenting with removing the contract magic of captured confidential information holders.

Kunoichi Red/Red Ninjettes has already enlisted combat support from the Adventurers' Guild and the Ten Rakshasas/Ten Devils (Japan's largest and oldest clan).

*They are also trying to see if they can convince Souta to help them by bringing him there.

**They don't know if the betrayal from Colours is the act of one person or more. So they seem to be hinting at killing all the leading members.

---

Souta holds a meeting with Risa and Satsuki during the school lunch hour. He uses a soundproofing magic tool to prevent any eavesdroppers.

They discuss about their classmates growth from Tachibana's hellish training and were surprised that none of them had dropped out. Yuuma and Sakurako reached level 7.
**I thought they were already level 8, my mistake.

They also consider the possibility and benefits of preventing Colours from leaking the details of the <Samurai> job to the Holy Empire but ultimately chose not to so as to keep things predictable. (If they prevent the leak, Kunoichi Red might become their ally; allowing them to manage things on a wider scale. Also, Mikami Haruka has connections and influence in politics, the military, and even the Adventurer's Guild.)

The Golden Orchid clan party was happening that night; and Arthur, Risa and Satsuki would be observing through a video call from Souta's wrist terminal.

Although Souta intends to only gather information and not get involved in any fights, they still make preparations to to go to his support if things go south.

He intended to stay in a cheap hotel after the party and go sightseeing in Tokyo the next day.

*It seems to currently be a Friday.

Before heading for the party, Souta lies to Kano; telling her that he was going sightseeing in Tokyo with friends.

She sussed him out and pestered to be taken along, but he finally convinces her to stay behind.

While talking in the car ride with Kusunoki, they discovered that Kano had sneaked into the trunk. (She hid herself with stealth skills after realizing that Souta was going somewhere dangerous. She recoiled from the shock from hearing of Colours betrayal, giving away her location.)

Since they were already almost there, and with Kano insisting on following; Souta decides to let her tag along.

He hands her the only escape crystal he has and instructs her to use it in an emergency.

---

After reaching the venue, they don masks and Kano is whisked away by Kusonoki to get a change of cloths while Souta puts on a suit.

While waiting for Kano, Souta lore dumps in his mind.

In DunEx, the protagonist first learns of the Samurai leak incident when watching a news program. However, the broadcast simply stated the fact that the information had "leaked to the Holy Empire," So the Players don't have details of what actually happened.

Dispelling contracts require high-level dispelling skills, the kind used by Expert rank jobs.

However, switching to a Expert rank job, requires a level of 50 or above. So Souta thinks this is unlikely.

The Holy Empire could also ask their (Saint) for help, but the (Saint) of the Holy Empire is branded a war criminal; so the possibility she would be in Japan was also unlikely.

Instead, Souta thinks that the dispelling spell would be a gigantic magic circle that is powered by the mana of the party attendees. There was no information of any battles breaking out during the game, so he thinks that the party would be non-violent affair.

After Kusonoki and Kano return, they take an elevator to the 55th floor where the party was being held and take their seats.

New characters make their appearance:

Shinguu Chizuru, a third-year at the Adventurers' Middle School and a Heroine in DunEx. She would make her appearance in the game as the top student of the first-year high schoolers in Class A after the protagonist enters the second year. A Tsundere type.
p243.jpg

*Kano and Chizuru having a eating contest.

Shinguu Subaru, Chizuru's older brother and Kusunoki's childhood friend. Runs a small "family?" business in the countryside. Attended the Adventurers' Middle School; but for unknown reasons, did not attend Adventurers' High. Doesn't make an appearance in the game's story.

*The Shinguus are a noble family at the rank of a viscount

Kuki Kazumoto, A muscular man who looks to be in his fifties, leader of the Golden Orchid Clan and an Executive or Colours.

Kirigaya Sousuke, the "Mad Dog" and leader of Sorel/Soleil. Vice leader of the Golden Orchid Clan.

Rokurogi Shigure, an Executive of the Ten Rakshasas; a level 38 <Samurai>. Looks young, but is middle-aged.

Left to right:
Rokurogi Shigure, Shinguu Subaru, Narumi Souta and Kirigaya Sousuke.
---

The party commences, and Kirigaya announces Sorel's discovery of the 7th floor DLC area.

Souta had expected this, but didn't care as it was a low level area that he didn't have anymore use for.

We get some lore of how the dungeons throughout the world are nearly identical to one another in structure and monster diversity. They also have the Obaba Shop and Furufuru, but it is unknown if the Furufurus are the same person.

Kirigaya then drops the bombshell on the discovery of the Gates and his intentions to set up a toll fee on them.

*How many Gates they've discovered is not specified. So far only the 1st floor and 7th floor DLC area were shown, but he mentions others. How they intend to charge money for it is also not specified, but they are working with the Holy Empire to get it set up.

**They haven't discovered the school basement's Gate room which Souta's group has been using.

The crowd begins to buzz with the realization that "Dungeon exploration will advance exponentially, to an unprecedented degree."

Souta had not expected that and was panicking internally, but manages to keep his cool and calm down.

He speculates that the perception mechanism that deterred people from approaching the Gate Rooms was disappearing, making it a matter of time before the remaining Gate Rooms are discovered.

He had wanted to bring his family up to level 30, which would've allowed them to fend off most organizations and disasters.

But with the level-up race intensifying, it would bring about major changes to the world order and system.

He was confident he could safely bring his family up to level 50 but beyond that "the death rate skyrockets, even with Player knowledge".

After the announcement is over, they took part in a meal; and shortly after...

All communication systems are cut off and an artificial magic field was activated on the entire building. An announcement sounded off the start of a "escape game" with a time limit of 1 hour; after which, the "building will disappear without a trace"

Souta laments that the events had already diverged significantly from the game's story. He could escape with Kano, but he did not want things to get worse. So he decides to head for the building's rooftop; reasoning that a large magic circle hidden on the roof could be the culprit of the communication jamming or blowing up the building.

After advising Kano to use the teleport stone if things get worse, he leaves her in Kusonoki's care and sneaks away.

Shinguu Subaru tails him and insisted to be taken along.

As they make their way up, they come across the aftermath of a one-sided skirmish where a squad from Kunoichi Red was brutally dismembered.

Souta was able to find one that was still alive and used 3 high-purity potions to save her. She passes them her comms device and heads back to report to Mikami.

Using a vent to avoid the Holy Empire's guards, they make their way to the rooftop.

They spied on Kirigaya Sousuke being beaten unconscious by Sanada Yukikage after questioning the latter's betrayal.

They also notice several activated magic circles and computers displaying live footage of the different floors on the rooftop premise.

2 more characters:

Sanada Yukikage, 2nd in command of Colours. In the game, he defected to the Holy Empire after exchanging information of <Samurai> for the Empire's <Cleric>.

Mikhailo Maxim, Cardinal of the Holy Empire; one of the strongest in the world. Appears as a boss character near the endgame. Currently a level 40 <Sage>.

Sanada then converses with Mikhailo, who proceeds to bestow the <Necromancer> job to Sanada.
p213.jpg

The <Necromancer> was a job Souta didn't want to acquire in this world as it requires the fresh corpses of several people over level 20. He also realizes that the purpose of the escape game was to gather corpses for the job change and to be made into servants for the <Necromancers> of the Holy Empire.

Mikhailo leaves with Sanada and their subordinates, heading for the lower floors. They leave 3 people behind to guard the magic circles.

Souta and Subaru move to stealthy destroy the magic circles, but Subaru tumbles out of the vent; giving their position away.

Souta estimates the guards to be around level 30 and one of them leaves to pursue Subaru, who had fled in fear.

The live footage shows the event participants being slaughtered and turned into corpse servants.

---

We get Kano's POV.

After Souta left, she and Chizuru were having an argument on whose brother was stronger; they try to settle the matter by having a eating contest and Kano removes her mask as it was getting in the way.

They are interrupted by the arrival of Sanada, Mikhailo (He's wearing a robe to hide his identity) and the Holy Empire soldiers. The Golden Orchid clan, led by Kuki with Rokurogi and any combat able event goers; move to intercept the onslaught from the Empire's soldiers. Sanada and Mikhailo do not participate in the fight, instead choosing to observe.

Mikami and the members of Kunoichi Red lead the non-combatants (Plus Kano and Chizuru) to a corner of the venue where a barricade made of tables was set up. The members of Kunoichi Red would also provide support by retrieving any incapacitated casualties so as to prevent any more rising corpses.

(They do not evacuate the non-combatants because they might end up being ambushed in the narrower hallways while trying to escape)

As the casualties increases, with the Holy Empire slowly turning the odds in their favor; Chizuru prepares for combat and tells Kano to run if the Empire's soldiers break through.

Kano, seeing Chizuru as her future rival; decides to help while remaining low-key. She sneaks behind some rubble and summons a human-sized <Handmade Golem> (Somewhat modeled after Tenma's armor) to assist with the body retrieval. Chizuru had followed Kano and witnessed everything.
k004.jpg

As the golem steadily retrieved people, Kano ignores Kusonoki and Chizuru's questions on the identity of the "person in full plate mail".

The members of the support team are shocked when the head of the golem falls off after receiving a heavy attack.

A whip user from the Empire moves to attack the non-combatants after realizing that a unknown skill user was hiding in the group, and Mikami moves to defend against his attacks.

With Kusonoki and Chizuru observing her; Kano focuses intently on the golem and uses her <Repair Golem> skill, which summons the mythril alloy she had in stock at the golem's feet. It fuses with the golem and it grows in size, to be over 4 meters; it then follows Kano's mental command to support Mikami.

Kusunoki realizes it was the same skill used by Souta in the arena.

After a bit of back and forth, the golem manages to defeat the whip user by blasting him through 3 walls with the <Rocket Punch> skill.
p271.jpg

Sanada and Mikhailo join the battle, wanting to capture the user of the golem skill.

Rokurogi comments that "Japan's (Saint) won't let the Holy Empire off" with Sanada refuting that "A (Saint) wouldn't care how many people die, or how many countries are destroyed."

Kusunoki pulls Kano and Chizuru aside; telling the both of them to escape.

Kano takes out the escape stone Souta had given her; she was at her wits end as the stone could only bring her to safety, but she wanted to save Kusunoki and Chizuru too.

She realizes that the stone was glowing and she could hear the voices of Arthur, Risa and Satsuki; with Satsuki screaming for her to use the escape stone.

After Kano pleads for their help; Risa teaches her a technique to summon Arthur by using magic power and the escape stone as a catalyst, she and Satsuki make additional preparations to head to venue to provide support.

Arthur arrives on the scene in the body of his Arachne summon beast, the Arachne now has the upper body of a young girl.

He stuns everyone with the density of his mana pressure and his ability to speak.

He makes swift work of the Empire's soldiers and faces off against Mikhailo; addressing him and Sanada by name, he calls them out for their actions.

*While in possession of the Arachne; Arthur can only use the Arachne's skills.
p293.jpg

---

The Extra chapter gives a small pov of Satsuki's; where she, Risa and Arthur where observing the events from the throne room on the 38th floor of the dungeon.

Arthur immediately cleared out his base on the 20th floor gate room after learning that the gates were being discovered.

Hippogon was the one that taught the method of summoning Arthur to the event venue.

---

The Bonus Short Story features Arthur, Risa, Satsuki and Hippogon meeting up in Arthur's castle shortly before the clan party kicks off. There are small cute interactions between the characters and it closes with Satsuki seemingly foreshadowing Hippogon as a great asset in the future.

*"Dragons have the unusual ability to "recall knowledge from their previous lives." It seems Hippogon is no exception, possessing numerous dungeon knowledge unknown to even Risa and Arthur. Souta said that these things have incredible value."

Souta is level 25 at this point. He estimates his opponents to be level 33.

After taking off his mask, he faces off against the 2 guards; a <Necromancer> and a <Berserker>. It turns into a 3v1 after a corpse servant is summoned.
In order to defeat them; he uses <Shadow Step>, <Satanachia's Stem Cells>, <Overdrive> and <Aerial>. This also turns him skinny.

We get a POV from Kirigaya Sousuke, who had woken up just in time to witness the whole fight. He attempts to fake his unconsciousness.

Shinguu Subaru also seemingly witnessed the entire ordeal, he cheerfully returns; carrying the head of the guard that pursued him and calls out Kirigaya for eavesdropping.

The 3 of them decide to work together and they destroy the magic circles on the roof.

They couldn't find a explosive type magic circle, but Kirigaya mentions overhearing Sanada's plan to test a magic invented by the Empire's (Saint). He could only remember the name of the magic partially.
Souta asks if it was called <Apocalypse Nova> and Kirigaya confirms.

<Apocalypse Nova> was a magic spell from an unspecified Expert rank job. It can also be found as a magic scroll beyond the 50th floor of the dungeon.
Souta speculates the possibility of the Empire's (Saint) being over level 50; or that a Player was assisting the Empire.

The destruction of the magic circles only restored communications locally, they were still cut off from contacting anyone outside the building.

Souta video calls Kano and learns that Satsuki was with her; she was carrying a large backpack. She had brought the hundreds of high-purity potions they had been stockpiling and handed them out; saving the adventurers who had lost limbs or were on the verge of death.
Arthur and Mikhailo were engaged in a high rise aerial battle; the former had forced the latter outside of the building in order to not get the others caught up in their attacks. Sanada had fled to the lower floors of the building and Kuki, Rokurogi and some of the recovered adventurers gave chase.

As the trio make their way to the party venue on the 55th floor, they were able to observe the aerial fight; Arthur was creating footholds in the sky by linking the surrounding skyscrapers with Arachne threads while Mikhailo was using <Fly>. Souta mentally remarks that Mikhailo wasn't fighting seriously, and that Arthur should also be aware that the chances of winning were slim.

After arriving on the 55th floor; Souta, Kano, Satsuki, Kusunoki, Chizuru, Subaru and Kirigaya team up to find and destroy the <Apocalypse Nova> magic circle. They intend to head for the 44th floor, an area reserved for the Holy Empire's accommodation.
*Mikami Haruka mentions being indebted due to Satsuki's generous handing out of potions

Satsuki had brought some magic items that were stashed in Arthur's castle and laid them out on the floor; Souta picks out a crystal that can summon a fairy with a Magic Detection skill and hands it to Chizuru; who was highly compatible with it.

A 1-meter-tall ceramic sake bottle-like object catches Subaru's eye and he asks about it; after Souta explains that it was a item that resets the cooldown of skills, Subaru requests to carry it.

Each member takes 3 MP and HP potions and Satsuki buffs everyone with defensive spells from the <Cleric> job; she also passes Souta a magic ring that imbues the dark attribute magical energy to his attacks and mentions that Risa still needed some time before joining them.

*Risa has a skill that greatly strengthens her only in places filled with dark magical energy. Souta notes that the backlash could be on a similar or greater level compared to his <Overdrive>.

*The crystal is a catalyst that summons the aforementioned fairy by pouring magic power into it, it is not a one-time use item. Chizuru has already summoned it and is registered as it's contractor.
p061.jpg

*As they were pressed for time; Souta doesn't inspect for any other useful items. It was not mentioned if Satsuki kept the rest of the items or left them on the floor.
*Advanced job skills tend to have a cooldown time of up to 20 minutes

Kusunoki and Kirigaya lead the way, using the information relayed by their clan members that were scouting ahead to avoid skirmishes with the patrolling Empire soldiers.

They decide to link up with a dozen or so Golden Orchid clan members who were fighting against a group of 4 Empire soldiers in order to use a staff elevator that was nearby. Souta summons a human-sized <Handmade Golem> and activates <Aerial>, defeating one of the soldiers with Kirigaya and Kusunoki's support.
*<Overdrive> is on cooldown.
*Satsuki casts a additional buff, Subaru and Kano don't do anything, Chizuru focuses on shielding them with a magic barrier.

The soldiers were stronger then they expected. Estimating their levels to around level 35, Souta holds them off with the Golden Orchid clan members while the rest get on the staff elevator and head for the 44th floor.

They were able to take down 2 more of the soldiers, but Souta gets maimed in the process.

---

At the 44th floor, the fairy leads the team into a storage room, where they find a door leading to a unnaturally wide dim area the size of the party venue. *Seems like the work of spatial magic.

At the center of the area stood a stone structure, to which Kano exclaims was a Gate.

Satsuki draws similarities with the Gate room at the school basement, and with their current location being on the 44th floor; she realizes that the only possible explanation was that Gate rooms could be installed artificially.

The Gate activates and Sanada steps out. When asked on the location of the explosive magic circle, he reveals that there was no such magic circle as they never intended to blow up the building. He then asks who had suggested the explosive magic circle theory and if any of them were Players.

Sanada reveals that Players were Divine Beings similar to the (Saints) and that his target was the knowledge they possessed.

"New discoveries in known dungeon areas are extremely rare, occurring only once every decade or so, except in the early days. With millions of people around the world diving into dungeons every day, it's unlikely new discoveries would occur now.

Even if new discoveries were made, unraveling the mystery would almost always reveal the involvement of a (Saint) or her associates. For this reason, it's generally believed that new discoveries in known areas are the result of some kind of force only a Divine Being could detect."

Yet, Sanada's investigation failed to tie any (Saint) to the two recent major discoveries.

Subaru strikes a pose and proclaims that Sanada's prattling was a stall for time and threatens to punish him.

Subaru lore:
He was infamously expelled from the Adventurers' Middle School for refusing to dive into the dungeon; claiming that he "hated crowds".

Satsuki realizes that Subaru hadn't seem to be affected by the aura that Sanada and the previous soldiers had released.

Sanada admits that he had been stalling for time; the Gate glows, and over 30 members of the Empire's strongest unit stepped through.

Chizuru smiles and activates a skill: <Astral Veil>, while Subaru celebrates their arrival and smashes the pot he had brought and activates his own skill.

---
Toudou Mizuha arrives, leading a squad to support Souta and the Golden Orchid clan members; they kill the last Empire soldier.

Souta was on the verge of death and Toudou assumed that he had already flatlined.
The Kunoichi Red member that he had saved earlier didn't wanted to give up and poured multiple potions on him.

She is introduced as Hinamori Hiyori, a classmate of Kusunoki Kirara.
*The author doesn't fail to describe her as having a beautiful face and a large bosom.

Even though Souta had already recovered, she stays by his side and tends to him with Toudou remarking that the debt had been paid off. *Not sure if the debt refers to Souta saving Hinamori or Satsuki handing out potions.

Toudou questions Souta on how he was able to defeat the Empire's soldiers in succession and he realizes that he had leveled up multiple times since the rooftop fight.

They move to take the elevator to the 44th floor, but it explodes and a wounded Empire soldier tumbles out; Rokurogi Shigure appears from the same elevator and cuts the soldier down.

There are no solid numbers, but Souta estimates his current level to be about 5 levels below a Holy Empire soldier. He also notes that Toudou was capable of fighting the soldier(s?) on her own.

They arrive at the 44th floor and discover a black hazy wall beyond the door in the storage room.

After searching his memories of DunEx, Souta deduces that it was a time-stopping spell.

From Souta's internal monologue:
*Instant-death magic, mental manipulation and time-stopping magic were worst-case scenarios he feared as they currently have no reliable resistance against them.
*The time-stopping spell currently being used is a Expert ranked magic called <Infinite Prison>.
*In DunEx, time-stopping magic could easily be countered, making it a completely useless skill.
*It was possible for Satsuki, a Cleric with defensive spells, to temporarily resist.

To enter from the outside, the barrier would have to be physically destroyed, and applying such a large impact could put Kano and the others inside in danger; so all they could do was wait.
---

After seeing Chizuru's <Astral Veil>; Satsuki had put up a barrier of her own. But she was only able to cover herself and was straining to maintain it.

She could only watch as the Shinguu siblings massacre the Holy Empire soldiers.
p174.jpg

They pause after confirming that Subaru had reached level 38 and Chizuru level 30. *To Satsuki's knowledge; Japan has less than 10 adventurers that are above level 35.

Subaru informs Satsuki that they were "an evil organization" and ponders on killing her, Chizuru agrees that the safest option would be to kill all witnesses, but trails off after glancing at Kano.

Subaru decides against killing Satsuki, highlighting that he didn't want to make Chizuru's rival sad. Additionally, he states that: "Narumi Souta is a talented person we desperately need on our camp. We can't hurt his teammates."

Subaru, who had been using a dagger; continues to cut down the remaining enemies, swapping between weapons scattered on the floor. Satsuki notes that "He's also very similar to Souta, in that he's well-versed in a variety of weapons."

Chizuru states that leveling up any further "would interfere with her studies." and envelops Satsuki and Kano in her <Astral Veil>. She asks them to keep her brother's power a secret.

As Subaru moves to kill Sanada, an impact shakes the area and time starts to move again.

After 2 more impacts, Mikhailo Maxim shatters the spell and enters the room, holding a limp arachne-form Arthur in his right hand.

Arthur sneers at Mikhailo before being ignited by the latter's magic bullet, turning into particles of light.

Souta, with <Overdrive> activated; teams up with Subaru and Rokurogi. They face off against Sanada, Mikhailo and a corpse servant while the rest evacuate back to narrow hallway before the storeroom.

Arthur calls Satsuki on her escape stone, exclaiming excitedly. Kano cuts in and asks Arthur to create a Gate and he discovers he was able to make one seemingly due to the influence of the nearby Gate room and they evacuate to the 38th floor.

He cheerfully welcomes everyone and they hold a meeting at the entrance to the castle. They don't enter the castle as they didn't want to interfere with Risa, who was gathering and emitting a dense magical power from within.
Hippogon arrives and introduces itself. It functions as a powerful heater against the blizzard.

Arthur then sent Toudou and a few members of Kunoichi Red directly to the guild hall with <Gate>.
Shortly after; the Japanese government officially issues an order to eliminate Sanada, and the Ten Rakshasas and Colours enter Tokyo, making their way to the battle zone.
*From Satsuki's thoughts: "The ten "Rakshasas" that give the Ten Rakshasas their name are derived from how each have special jobs or abilities".

Arthur believes Sanada to be lying about the explosive magic circle and he feeds the fairy a magic stone from a floor boss; it jumps all the way to level 30. The fairy's mana detection ability has expanded to the range of an entire skyscraper, she also gains illusion magic and status abnormality skills.
*The fairy cannot be a higher level than it's contracter.
*Her appearance has also grown to the size of a 5 year old and can speak in broken japanese.

Hinamori was the first to volunteer to return with the fairy to find the magic circle, she wanted to repay the debt of having her life saved; however, Satsuki "sensed something more passionate and emotional about her".

Kano and Chizuru were also raring to go, but Satsuki didn't want to endanger them.

In the end; Satsuki, Hinamori and the fairy head back to the skyscraper to find and disarm any magic circles.

*The fairy seems to have a personality of a Kusogaki.

---

Subaru activates <Accelerator> and cuts down the corpse servant with a halberd; forcing Sanada to ascend to the air with <Fly>. Mikhailo follows suit, and they both retreat to outside the building; where they would be out of range from any physical attacks.

Sanada casually remarks that Subaru is part of Oboro and was the one responsible for killing half of the Golden Orchid clan 10 years ago; Subaru responds that he deliberately left them half destroyed.
p224.jpg

Souta is shocked as Subaru would have only been about 7 years old at the time.
Additionally, he remembers the in-game lore that <Fly> was bestowed by the (Saint) of the Holy Empire to her closesest aides; meaning that Sanada, like Mikhailo; was part of "Aurora's Apostles".

After suggesting to Subaru and Rokurogi to use Arthur's leftover thread footholds, Souta activates <Aerial> and takes to the skies.

The two parties clashed for awhile and Souta realizes that both Mikhailo and Sanada possess the judgment, thinking ability, and flexibility of top DunEx players; they were able to read and adapt to his erratic <Aerial> fighting style. He had expected them to have a similar attack pattern like their game counterparts.

As they couldn't create new footholds; Subaru and Rokurogi's movements were more predictable and limited. Souta concludes that they wouldn't be able to win and could only buy time for Risa's arrival.

Communications are restored and they receive a call from Kano and Chizuru; notifying them that Satsuki&Co were working on the magic circles in the building and that Risa would be arriving in a few minutes.

Sanada notices that the magic used to isolate the building was also being eroded from the outside; hinting at the arrival of reinforcements. He and Mikhailo pull out all stops, combining their magic attacks to create a cyclone of fiery bullets.

Souta runs higher into the sky to evade, but Mikhailo and Sanada move to sandwich him in a rain of magic bullets and they manage to take an arm.
Rokurogi and Subaru had ran vertically up the skyscraper and kicked off of it, they catch Mikhailo and Sanada off guard with a barrage of close-range attacks.

Risking his life to land a blow that would increase Risa's chances of winning; Souta uses up his remaining mp pool and fires off <Agares's Blade>. It hits Mikhailo, causing the Halo Cloth he was wearing to activate it's single charge.
*"The Halo Cloth is the Holy Empire's highest-ranking national treasure that has the effect of rewinding time for the wearer upon receiving significant damage."

Rokurogi, who had already descended onto one of Arthur's threads; catches Souta by the scruff of his neck and pulls him up.

They observe as Risa descends from a Gate that Arthur had created 300 meters above the ground, she was clad in armor and was wielding a greatsword; both were created using her Player skills from the <Dark Knight> job.

She unleashes <Darkness>, another <Dark Knight> skill; which drastically raises her status and causes the entire area to take on a dark hue.
k004.jpg

*Souta estimates that Risa's level was around level 25, but the strengthening from <Darkness> far exceeded his <Overdrive>; making her equal or greater than Mikhailo.
*With 3 Expert rank skills activated, Risa is under severe mental strain.

Subaru lands near Souta and Rokurogi; Sanada had flown out of his reach and moved to support Mikhailo.

As Risa begins to overwhelm Mikhailo and Sanada with her teleportation combat style, the Executives of the Ten Rakshasas broke through the barrier.

The rest remain hidden in the nearby building, while 2 members: "Jiyoraku" and "Kokushi/Blacktooth" report to Rokurogi; Colours troops were on site, combating the remaining soldiers of the Empire in the building and the Japanese army was preparing to move in.

*"Jiyoraku" sports gothic lolita fashion and holds a parasol. Souta estimates her level to be higher than his.
*"Kokushi/Blacktooth" is dressed in a ragged cloak with black armour underneath and wears a hannya mask. Souta had already met this guy in the novel. He was a helper for Class C during the class competition.

They continue to watch the fight and Rokurogi, who was stoked after seeing Risa inflict a fatal blow on Mikhailo; becomes disappointed after Souta informs her that it was nothing but a magic body double.
*Souta's inner thoughts: "Mikhailo's unique skill is the ability to create clones of himself. His real body is always near the Eastern European (Saint)."

As Mikhailo's body turns invisible and disappears, Risa changes her target to Sanada; who had already received significant wounds, and prepares to deliver the final blow. But-

Tasato Kotaro, leader of Colours; jumps out of the building and ran up to them using the threads, shouting for her to stop. She obliges and a irritated Rokurogi moves to finish the job.

Risa falls unconscious from overexertion and Souta catches her; covering her body with a robe as her armor disintegrates. He recalls Sanada's backstory and reason for betrayal in DunEx:

"Sanada was fed up with Japan's adventurer support system, the unfair treatment he received from nobles, and the conflicts with other organizations. He felt the limitations of remaining a Intermediate ranked <Priest>, and repeatedly called for Colors to move its base overseas in order to strengthen himself and gain more freedom.

But the clan leader Tasato refused, as he was awarded the job of <Samurai> and the title of Baron as a reward for his loyalty to the country. Additionally, Kuki and the Golden Orchid clan, who effectively managed Colours, were against Sanada. Also, the Japanese government would never allow the country's strongest clan and a <Samurai> to move overseas.

As a result, Sanada became increasingly isolated within Colours, and eventually decided to defect to the Holy Empire alone in pursue of the Advanced job <Cleric>."

Rokurogi interrupts Tasato's attempts to reason with Sanada, but her sword locks with Tasato's as he tries to argue for Sanada's life to be spared.

Sanada, seemingly speaking to someone that wasn't there; asks his "Lord" if they "were watching closely" before raising his arm; disappearing into a <Gate> that appeared above him.
"I still have a dream... so goodbye, everyone."
"Are you going, Yukikage?"
"...Yes. Farewell, Kotaro."

Putting off his thoughts on everything that had happened, Souta; who had received a message on his wrist terminal that the explosive magic circle was disarmed, quickly carries Risa away to meet up with Satsuki and make their escape.

*It's insane that not even an hour has passed since he fought the soldiers on the roof

The Bonus Chapter features Kaoru, Yuuma, Naoto and Sakurako.

They were having dinner at a burger shop and reassessing their plans for summer break.
They had planned to spend the entire break staying in the dungeon to focus on gaining levels, but the training by Tachibana Sakon was safer and gave an equal/better payout of experience points.

Yuuma wonders how Tasato Kotaro and Yukikage Sanada, who were both former students of Class E; were able to become strong.

He then suggests following in their footsteps to create a clan while in their student years and Naoto seems quite taken by his idea.

The conversation topic is swapped out after being interrupted by an emergency broadcast displayed on a huge vision screen across the street; it showed aerial footage of the distorted skyscrapers where the clan party was taking place.

Shortly after 8pm, Kaoru reaches home and Naoto sends her a message; telling her to check the news, and she learns that the Japanese government has placed a wanted notice on Sanada.

*Kaoru's thoughts reveal that they are currently in the middle of July
*Tachibana trains them twice a week, I can't tell if it means that training with Tachibana twice a week gives exp equal to 1 week of dungeon diving.

---

*Snippet of the author's afterword:

"This volume concludes the "Clan Party Arc," which began in Volume 6. Due to page limitations, the story is quite crammed, but I intended it to serve as a turning point to further expand and develop the worldview I've built up thus far.

Going forward, I plan to move forward with the School Arc, along with this expanded worldview. There's still much more I want to write, such as the heroine events for Tenma Akira and Kuga Kotone, Kaoru and her fellow DunEx hero party members, and the current situation of rival Tsukishima Takuya, so I hope you'll look forward to it."

Japan's Minister of Defense pays a visit to the headquarters of the Ten Rakshasas; he meets with a young man wearing a school uniform, "Jiyoraku", and a woman wearing a maid's uniform named Kurosaki.

He leaves after ordering them to mobilize any available troops and dive into the dungeon to find the Gates.

*"The Japanese government had issued a statement condemning the Holy Empire, but the Holy Empire ignored it, claiming, "There's no evidence for anything Japan is saying, it's all fabricated."

The Minister of Defense allowed Mikhailo Maxim into the country due to influence from the Minister of Finance; who loudly proclaimed of increased revenue through deals with the Holy Empire,

The Minister is a member of the House of Lords, elected because he is a high-ranking noble. Therefore, he is not concerned about public opinion; but of the actions of his rival nobles.

No one has yet been held accountable. But the Minister knows that rival nobles will eventually make a move to force him out of his seat, so before that happens, he needs to achieve a major accomplishment and clear his name,

The Ten Rakshasas have tens of thousands of members, they possess military, political and financial power that can rival any aristocrat. They have great influence on the world.
But in reality, they are constantly engaged in power struggles and conflicts with aristocrats and rival clans across Japan. The clan leader; Takamura Kaede, along with several other Rakshasas, are in the midst of a conflict with the Western Japan Noble Alliance.

The clan leader doesn't fight willingly; but over the past few years, they've lost several of their "Ten Rakshasas". So in order to avoid weakening the organization, they have no choice but to make accommodations with influential politicians and business leaders to avoid conflict. The Minister of Defense is one of those people."

*"Jiyoraku" was promoted to a Rakshasa the previous year.
*The young man wearing a school uniform seems to be in high school and the son of Takamura Kaede. He's not a Rakshasa.

'Kurosaki'; who is currently the acting clan leader, speculates that the 3 organizations that have detailed information about the Gates are the Holy Empire, The Golden Orchid clan, and the Japanese government.

The members of the Golden Orchid clan have been imprisoned and The Holy Empire and the Japanese government have not released any information, so the details of the Gate remain unknown. Adventurers have been desperately searching for its whereabouts ever since the incident and 'Kurosaki' had also mobilized several of her subordinate organizations to search for it but to no avail

The minister had agreed to provide them with government information and funding, so 'Kurosaki' wants the Ten Rakshasas to find the gates faster than anyone else in order to gain exclusive use of it.

She predicts that "the existing military balance, proportional to economic power and resource reserves, would likely collapse, and an adventurer-centered system would be established to an unprecedented degree. And the one who will reign supreme will undoubtedly be the one who quickly masters the teleportation device."

She then issues the order to "seize the teleportation device before anyone else, reach level 40 before anyone else, drive out the greedy, ugly nobles, and build their very own paradise in this country"
---

We return to just after the events of the clan party.

Souta, Kano, Satsuki and Risa were on the 25th floor.

Even after Risa was brought to Furufuru for treatment, she remained unconscious. So they made a house on the 25th floor with <Golem Castle> so that they could remain in the magic field to periodically apply recovery magic on her. <Golem Castle> also has the effect of tripling the inhabitants HP&MP regeneration and also grants recovery from all status effects.

*They did go to Arthur's castle, but they left after being bombarded with questions from Kusunoki, Kirigaya, etc.
*Arthur stayed behind to entertain them.

Souta, Kano and Satsuki were having a discussion on stats and skills, with Risa waking up and joining them a little later.

Kano has reached level 27 and Souta estimates that her base stat growth values were comparable to DunEx protagonists like Yuuma and Sakurako.

Remembering the Mikhailo and Sanada fight, Souta notes that being able to engage in aerial combat is an asset in this world and Kano becomes interested in learning <Aerial>.

Additional stuff:
*Risa was one of the few people in DunEx who build their tactics around the skills of <Dark Knight>. The combat tactic that utilizes the skill that allows her to teleport through the air is something only a few were able to master.
*<Fly>'s speed depends on the amount of magic power you use. It is also the most common spell used to engage in aerial combat.
*<Aerial> simply creates footholds in the air, "Disaster" is seemingly the only person in DunEx who was the best user of <Aerial> tactics
*Seems like there are various other flying skills, but they are not mentioned

They then decide to call it a day and head home.
---

Upon reaching home, Souta is bombarded with emails from Kuga asking for information on the Gates.
She has drawn a connection between the existence of the gates being discussed on tv and Arthur's <Gate> spell.
She agrees to discuss about signing a magic contract after Tenma's celebration party that was being held on the 25th floor the next day.

Stuff has happened in the background:
Souta, Arthur, Risa and Satsuki had already green-lit Tenma as a trustworthy ally and told her that so long as she signed a contract to keep it a secret, they would share their dungeon knowledge.
She then engraved the contract onto her shoulder as a proof of trust.
She apparently tamed the Ugarm Queen in one try after switching to <Tamer>.
The Ugarm Queen has become level 1 and shrunk to size of a slightly larger than average cat/ medium-sized dog

At the celebration party, Arthur had used the <Gate> spell to bring around 100 people that worked for Tenma to assist with the party. They also brought numerous excavators, bulldozers, concrete trucks, and cranes to build a "comfortable space" for the shrunken Ugarm Queen.

He holds a discussion with Kurosaki and Souta while Kano, Kuga and Tenma pig out on the food in the background.

Arthur(In possession of the Arachne) expresses the frustration he felt after losing to Mikhailo; he felt helpless for being unable to do more due to being trapped in the dungeon.

Highlighting that the recent event could've wiped them all out if even a single thing had went wrong; he floats the idea of starting and running an organization, citing the need for support if they were caught up in another unexpected, unreasonable event in the future. He also speculates the possibility that with a large enough organization, they could brute force their way through any bad ending scenarios where Japan becomes politically unstable/devastated.
*He also thinks that with a large enough organization, they could have a shot at world domination.

Souta agrees that having people at their beck and call would vastly improve their response capabilities, but he wasn't fully onboard with the idea. He highlights that they were underage and lacked the funds, know-how and personnel to run an organization.

Arthur passes the baton to Kurosaki, who explains that Tenma's grandfather; who is the current head of Tenma Enterprises had given the order upon learning that Tenma's curse could be lifted to "spare no expense on money, people, or things to ensure it's success"

Kurosaki adds that the black butlers and Tenma family promise to provide permanent support upon the curse's successful removal.

The curse breaking event only happens in the game's male protagonist route, and Yuuma; who is naturally liked by spirits, needs to be stronger in order to successfully clear the event.

Arthur suggests power-leveling Yuuma and leaving Sakurako untouched to deal with the story.

But Souta reminds him that the Spirit that will lift Tenma's curse might not cooperate if Yuuma's spirituality is underdeveloped.

Snippets of Souta's inner monologue:
"The protagonist of DunEx grows through countless trials. And I don't just mean level. They defeat powerful foes with their party members, overcome difficulties, and gain the trust and cooperation of a wide variety of people, including adventurers, spirits, and demons, to become a huge wave.

When that happens, the protagonist's party is truly invincible. Even if the Holy Empire brought multiple cardinals and over 10,000 adventurers, or even if demons and monsters appear and turn everything into hell, they will be able to overpower them head-on with sheer force.

If they never face any trials or hardships, their noble spirituality will remain immature, and those around them will no longer acknowledge or cooperate with them. So... what will be the outcome of the event that only they can accomplish? What will the fate of the world be?

Or rather, is it really possible for a student to develop the awareness and resolve to "protect all people and spirits" or "save the world" just a few months after enrolling? The Great Spirit sees into such things, but isn't it ridiculous to expect this from Akagi, who has barely experienced any hardships or events?"

Kurosaki decides to attempt training Yuuma for a month to perfect him physically and mentally. She asks Souta to bring Yuuma to her which makes Arthur laugh at Souta's low social status in class.

They are interrupted by Kano's loud praising for the food, which causes Souta to put everything aside and join her.
*Souta becomes fat again. Even fatter.
*The spirit that will lift Tenma's curse is the same culprit that placed the curse on her.
*Tenma is also well liked by spirits. It placed the "curse" which grants a significant increase in physical strength in order to protect her after seemingly reading her future.
*Kurosaki had suggested to defeat the spirit, but gave up after learning that it wouldn't lift the curse.
---

The next day, while walking to school; Kaoru invites Souta to her party for an after-school training session.

He feels that she might be suspicious of the drastic changes to his behavior, but accepts the invite as he wanted to find how they have been doing in order to plan out the next steps.

At school, he hears rumors that a second-year nobleman who was returning to school would be placed in the second year's Class E and that a large party from the Ten Rakshasas had entered the dungeon.

He then informs Risa of his schedule; and in turn, she informs him that she intends to check on Tsukishima; as he was still hanging around Suou Kouki, a major antagonist in the game's story.

She also shows him a video she took of the group of adventurers that had gathered in the plaza before heading off into the dungeon. Souta spots one wearing gothic lolita fashion and a familiar looking maid.

As Risa had only played DunEx's female heroine routes, she had assumed it was Tenma's maid. But Souta informs her that Kurosaki would always accompany Tenma to school and wait outside her classroom. They wonder if Kurosaki had a twin sibling but decide that it was not something worth asking her as it might upset her.

Risa concludes that things were going to get hectic in the dungeon and that they would also need to keep an eye on the Ten Rakshasas' movements.

*"The only large-scale clan that appears in DunEx's story is Colours. The Ten Rakshasas rarely make an appearance. Even then, the players only know about Rokurogi and the clan leader; Takamura Kaede. They have no idea who the other Rakshasas are or their backgrounds."
*Souta has acknowledged that the game's story has become a mess, and that it has been forced into a different direction.

What these “sticking to the story” type manga authors don’t understand is that even one different step, even breathing differently, just existing there, would completely change the outcome of the “story.” Because of the butterfly effect, ANY deviations from the plot multiply and intensify over time, completely altering the outcome.

And didn’t one of the players, the human girl, literally create a new character out of thin air? Her existence alone already throws the whole “I don’t want to interfere with the story” bullshit out the window.

He should instead take over the school, fuck over the other players, get as strong as possible, and then prevent the disaster or whatever

his philosophy also makes no sense at all. On the one hand, he sees the NPCs as fully fledged “humans” who shouldn’t simply be treated like bots, but on the other hand, he tries to maintain some pre-established path for their actions from the game. These two ideas directly conflict with each other.
