Spoil who gets taken. At this point I don't feel sorry for the MC, he's made his bed and he should lie in it. I'm still also pissed off the butao still exists. Like fuck off will you, your time is done.
Pretty much every single one, even Kaoru is getting together with the original game MC. Although that is a given, she does not have a third of the screen time in the novel.

I don't know why y'all hating this manga, y'all are some fucks up in the mind, if you don't like this type of manga then go read some reincarnation slime shit or something, y'all have -6 years old brain that can't even compromise such a good story, especially their character development and limit to our main character so that the story will become interesting, I know you guys love reading some brain rotted everyday same Isekai shit, at least respect this manga, What a fkn stypid

Snippets of Souta's inner monologue:
"The protagonist of DunEx grows through countless trials. And I don't just mean level. They defeat powerful foes with their party members, overcome difficulties, and gain the trust and cooperation of a wide variety of people, including adventurers, spirits, and demons, to become a huge wave.

When that happens, the protagonist's party is truly invincible. Even if the Holy Empire brought multiple cardinals and over 10,000 adventurers, or even if demons and monsters appear and turn everything into hell, they will be able to overpower them head-on with sheer force.

If they never face any trials or hardships, their noble spirituality will remain immature, and those around them will no longer acknowledge or cooperate with them. So... what will be the outcome of the event that only they can accomplish? What will the fate of the world be?

Or rather, is it really possible for a student to develop the awareness and resolve to "protect all people and spirits" or "save the world" just a few months after enrolling? The Great Spirit sees into such things, but isn't it ridiculous to expect this from Akagi, who has barely experienced any hardships or events?"
Thank you for sharing it. After reading all spoilers, now I fully understand the reason why Souta is so fixated with "preserving the story" kind of mindset.

Now onto the main issue:
*Souta has acknowledged that the game's story has become a mess, and that it has been forced into a different direction.
He acknowledge that, yet he still hesitate to take action regarding Yuuma's party growth. With some of the game's story is accelerated and deviated due to the descend of players and their action behind the scenes, he should realize that he can't follow normal method by leaving their growth to improve naturally.

I mean, they're still level 7, while behind the scene everything move so fast, like BRUH. The author need to balance Yuuma's SLOW progress with MC's "fast-track large-scale battle behind the scene", otherwise this is spiraling out of control, out of balance.
Souta should accelerate their growth, by creating / orchestrating his own version of "countless trials." Similar like Arthur hosting that Doki-Doki event. For example, Risa's action of getting them trained by Tachibana was a very genius move, compared to Souta who did nothing to them, he's so passive and contradictory. He could lured / introduced them into student council circle to increase their influence and connection, through Naoto who seems like showing interest to reform the school's system, based on his argument with Sagara.

Based on that alone, the route could expand, introduce them to Thief club or Kunoichi Red through Kusunoki. He don't need to stick with normal method, anything goes as long as they gain experience both in physical and spiritual, fast.

There's also magic contract that can be used too. But now that Gate existence is in jeopardy, it become difficult to monopolize it to support their growth. Yuuma's party even missed out on the passive +3 slot skills from <Newbie> job, this is such huge loss and blunder.

With 173 chapters, there still no progress, even with Kaoru. IDK what the author want, but I like this series. There's something that makes me curious about this series, but anyway, thank you for sharing the spoilers.

I finished reading this and was like "wow, I really enjoyed this I wonder what the comments are like" and then I see that everyone thinks it's omega doodoo dog ass 😭

Maybe it's because I've read too much isekai, but I appreciate that the MC isn't dominating everyone at school and only acts rashly when he needs to. Not only does it make it all the more hype when he drops the disguise, but it also allows more time to develop the side characters. Very much appreciate that the MC is a citizen of this world rather than a towering, insurmountable god.

Speaking of which, I really appreciate the character development of everyone other than the MC, like seeing his family (which is something that literally never happens ever in isakai stories) and some classmates get more screen time than 1 mini-arc. I don't think the story would be nearly as interesting or the characters nearly as "fleshed out" if the MC went sicko mode and systematically solved every problem himself while wooing every one-dimensional girl in school (we have enough of those). I'm not a shipper and I didn't start reading this to goon, so I couldn't care less that the female characters are not romantically interested in the MC.

Somehow, I don't even hate the fact that the old Buato is still inside the MC, since it reminds you that people had a life before the "players" completely upended them (another thing that doesn't happen often in these kind of plots) and he doesn't overstay his welcome (he had like 3-5 minor appearances in the past 90 chapters). That said, I wish we had learned more about the other player's backstory and how they are affected by the merging. I think the only tidbit we know of is that the demon guy's "buato" is sleeping and the female player has some kind of complicated situation that keeps them from being able to grind levels. No more elaboration needed beyond that, I guess.

More on the downsides, I agree that the world right now is probably too big and ambitious. After 90 chapters, we still somehow don't know a SINGLE person from class C. There are so many guilds and factions both inside and out of the school that its hard to mentally keep track of them. I can barely even remember their names, dangit! This is a problem because any of them can affect the story at any time, even if the last time we heard of them was 30+ chapters ago.

And because of that (and other things), there are simply too many giant fires to put out. Apparently, the world is going to go into chaos at some point, then there's the classism system still going on, and then the PvP "grant any wish" candidate thing... guys, we need to pick a struggle. It's been 90 chapters, and only 2-3 months have canonically passed. Either there's going to be a dumb huge time skip, or it'll be 100 volumes before even one of these problems gets solved.

Finally, I completely get the sentiment that it's hard to understand the story if you didn't binge-read all the chapters at once like I did, but that's just the reality of having a story that spans past 90 chapters and 10 volumes. However, most things that have a story go on for this long have at least 1 recap... Some more recaps here and there would be very appreciated.

Overall, I still like what I've seen more than I don't. But I'm 99% sure this novel/manga won't end in a satisfying way. Definitely a 7 or an 8 for me as of chapter 90, as even with all these problems, it's still leagues better than most slop isakai. No idea why people are saying the writer should be fired and blacklisted from ever writing again 😭.

I think as time passes, this rating will go down but we shall see.

Could someone tell me the context of the Last Pages, if someone read the novel
It pretty much seems to be what will happen in the future.
An endless stream of blood coursed from my chest, warming my skin as it
passed. Ahhh, I thought, realizing the source of my mental fog. The girl’s sword
had been plunged deep into my heart.

I racked out a cough, and a globule of blood shot out of my mouth. I then
turned to the dark sky above, noting the rain was still relentless. It’s a horrible,
cold place.

The girl gently cradled me and whispered in my ears. “Goodbye, my sweet,
sweet ■■■”

She must have a heart of gold to shed tears for a guy like me. But how did it
come to this?
I turned the question over in my dulling mind, using the few
remaining moments of consciousness I had left to think.

As she held me in her arms, I recalled the pleasant memories of the time I
shared with the people I loved.

Oh, right. That’s where it all began.
Also, the last page removed some text that was present in the web comic:

did i miss some type of news?
The mangaka's assistants were dropped after vol 9.
And the art just keeps getting more moe-ified from then on.
