Kinda annoying how all she needs to do to resolve this situation is say something at least along the lines of / to the effect of "This is a serious confession, not material for our manga".

However, we'll probably have to wait until a rival in Kano's love for Miyu to show up before any substantial progress is made from here on.

Edit: Hell, maybe even the Christine Sayuri-Sensei they mentioned in previous chapters will be involved somehow, likely vying after one of the pair and ending up encouraging a confession.

@sshazm that's true, like they throwing common sense out of the window to make this work and drag it on... With something like "I'm not talking about the manga!" or "I like you, Kano!" (she never said her name I think)... It's a shame, I guess they realized too soon that they're in love and now the manga is being ruined by the lack of logic.

@Serenata While I agree that being more straightforward and properly explaining the confession might work, you also have to think about it this way. Kano is 100% convinced that her love for Miyu is going to be unrequited, especially considering Miyu's previous suggestion to act out scenes in order to work on their manga. Plus she does seem to be kind of.. dense.. in relation to the feelings of others (which is kind of a contradictory trait in a romance author, but I digress), so even if Miyu DOES explain things she might not believe it. A third party like Miyu's friends (if Miyu can ever be able to tell them that she likes a GIRL and get them to stop interrupting her and jumping to conclusions) or a possible love rival will likely be essential to get their relationship to move forward.
