All this time the heroines parents(except for Rami's) have all been somewhat decent at the very least and even MC's family is not particularly bad that seeing YongSu's parent being such a bad one is definitely quite impactful to be honest.

To anyone reading concerned about the quality of the series, I've finished everything and I can say me and most other people we're absolutely satisfied with the ending.

Chapters 152-153 are the beginning of the last arc, and while I can definitely see the why the initial reaction was bad I'd definitely say the pay off was worth it.
