Weird pattern I've been seeing in manga recently.

Hi guys, new to this so forgive me in advance if I mess up but I have a question about the mangas of our current time (so I would say around 2015-Present, could be wrong tho).
What is up with almost every new manga coming out always involving cheating\NTR and losers??
Idk why almost every manga I pick up, is almost always about cheating, ntr, or the mc is just an absolute wimp of a loser.
I'm sure this has been going on for a while, but my genuine question is why is this a popular thing?? Almost any manga you pick up with a suggestive or erotic tag always involve one of these things to a certain degree.
Although I will admit, the loser wimp mc thing has been there for a while, (another annoying trope), for a few years now I've been seeing more and more ntr focused mangas and it's genuinely weird how so many mangakas are into that.
I hope I'm not the only one seeing this ntr epidemic (lol) but yeah, it just puts me off especially when the manga has nice art.

The NTR trend is going on since several years by now, from what I heard.
Haven't noticed it in the non-h manga I've been reading and on the H-side, it does seem true in general, but you mostly need to curate your own experience if the side has a good-working tag system

@Mangamoz what is thoust experte opinione? Is this a trende?

Yes, I have noticed this too. It would seem that NTR is the next money chasing trend mangaka are chasing now that the isekai gold rush is beginning to die out.

Honestly, the attempts at it from these mainstream stories are kind of lazy and barebones for NTR. Usually being just the most tired and cliche depictions of it.

Another weird and frankly boring pattern is the amount of isekai mangas I'm seeing. Tell me if this sounds familiar.
A 30 something year old NEET\loser\incel gets summoned into another world with a "cheat" ability, just to fuck the minors of the new world because they are 30+ in a teens body and is totally not a mangaka projecting his fetishes in his own manga because of how incompetent they are irl at getting girls their age (lol)

Oh, so it does come over from the H-area, huh.
And in the "Oh, look what I found here" style, when the entire genre already had been explored

Similar to that one Anime about "An ugly bastard, but he is a good guy" that came out a while ago and was shallow as hell about it, the ub being a 99% copy of the meme one, when ub's have a huge variety, both in looks and in ethics already.

I do understand what you're saying but sometimes I want to branch out from my usual mangas and read something new, and a lot have fantastic cover art that makes it seem interesting until you pick it up and it's just nor stuff.
But I will use the tag system you have recommended, thank you.

I mean, my goto MD discovery is:
  1. Go to latest updates
  2. Do a sweep through and open those that seem interesting at first glance
  3. Get the feel to vomit and desire to do violent things towards the mangakas creating such garbage, before closing the tab in disgust
  4. Then test read the ones that I didn't want to strangle the authors through the screen.
  5. Then close the ones whose appalingness only came through in the story itself.
  6. Get a few good ones
It's probably why I didn't notice such a trend, since the cuck ones usually get filtered out in step 3 already

I see, I'm not interested in all that ntr stuff so I wouldn't know. But yeah, the isekai train is slowly dying (thank god) and I guess with how popularised ntr has become something had to assume the throne.

It's an allegory of turbocapitalism and AI dominance, it's the prelude of an apocaliptic time that's it's about to arrive. Serious answer: blame Japanese dramas (standard TV) with all those infidelity shows, the isekai part is just providing escapism for friendless teenagers and hikkikomori. Instead of reading generic copies, go ahead and read the king of kings, Mushoku Tensei.

a very boring gimmick indeed, we may be witnessing ai generated manga folks
I am almost sure some of these ARE using AI gen to help with their writing.

I look around the web novel side of Japan, and it looks like people racing to rip off whatever is hip and trendy, without a single care if they are almost the exact same story with the names of characters changed.

Basically how I cycle through mangas now

Well, before the Isekai dominated, I remember (Harem) Rom-Coms were the king of the hill.
Honestly, Isekai falling from being the hegemon genre to one that is already unappealing might be good, as it brings the trendchasers somewhere else that doesn't overlap with my spaces.
