I've been thinking of doing English>Spanish translation

Sorry if this sort of post is like, an everyday occurrence.

So I want to translate manga from English to my native language, I've been thinking about it for a while. There's one issue though, most manga series are translated by scanlation groups, and it would be pretty rude of me to use their work without permission, especially while being a complete beginner. The obvious solution is to just ask for permission, but I've come across many groups that don't seem to offer a means to contact them directly.

On the main site, when you click on a group there are several tabs and by default shows the group info, which an area reserved to text and below an area for links. In case they don't have any means of contact, then check their credits page (normally at the end of the chapter) since they usually add info there. You can also use the forums direct messages, either starting a conversation clicking in the letter icon top-left (next to the bell) or by putting the mouse (or tapping in your phone) on the name/picture and selecting "start conversation". If everything fails, ping them in the chapter discussion (either the group leader or the uploader).

I infer that they're also lacking in editing skills and raws, since they're new to this.

Well, I think the one I wanted to translate is pretty much a lost cause, it was uploaded almost 10 years ago and the credits only name a website that doesn't exist anymore. Guess I'l have to look for something else.
