I think you might be reading too much into the “Pain and pleasure” line, its more like “family is meant to be there for each other when they’re in pain, and enjoy the pleasures of life together” ie being there for each other when in debt or pain, and being there when a member of the family has a child.

I think she’s just really messed up, and is twisting the connotations of what her father said, not because that’s what he meant, but because it was useful as a scapegoat in this situation. Meaning she is more than willing to throw her dead dad under the bus if it means allowing her to delve further into degeneracy.
