When a manga called “Welcome to Japan Elf-San” isn’t about an elf in Japan.

Look at that cute rhino/warthog/bird crossbreed. Why would anyone want to kill it for the sake of leveling.

Two countries by carrieage in one week, that is a fast carriage, even if we count usual country size on medieval times.

I love how nonchalant he is about fighting in several wars.
“What’s that, people actually died in this world. Never mind that, let me show you Pocky, Mary.”

Japan's summer is not that bad. And most of Japanese cuisine is not that good. Sometimes, it seems that mangakas are awfully nationalists, to the point it starts to become suspicious.

Its the "Superior Nippon Food" sentiment, cause most dont ever get to taste anything that isnt raw fish, rice and veggies.

@metaldog564 Much of the time that you have an alternate world setting they set it with middle ages type world set, that means spice is usually worth its weight in gold so its not commonly used, you also have manga where spice you use is also medicinal in said world with real effects, so its not used in food. much of western food revolves around the heavy use of spice to properly get things seasoned, while japan gets much of its flavors through fermentation, making it a viable otherworldly alternative and also a fairly flavorful alternative. also keep in mind that much meat, if you don't raise the animals for meat, is relatively crap for flavor and texture so what we may know in the west as a perfect way to cook meat to just have the meat be its own flavor comes from animals raised to be meat, not animals that were worked till death/no longer useful and the meat turns out bad.
