"most dont ever get to taste anything that isnt raw fish, rice and veggies."
I love how you're trying to be work and instead just show off how hilariously ignorant you are.

@alidan
This. So much this. They don't have a global world of spices we all have access to today.

Mario is dropping into portals that lead to different maps and jumping down onto unsuspecting Koopahs to kill them.

You might be conflating national pride, which is fine (so long as you know that your country isn’t perfect), with jingoism, which is when a nation intentionally and belligerently throws its weight around to get its way or to send a message.
Example: the video game Devotion; a Taiwanese horror game, being review-bombed and pulled from steam when Chinese players found messages insulting them and calling their president Winnie the Pooh.

@Sep10trion To be fair, Jingoism is a form of Nationalism. I'd say in this instance (in terms of metaldog564's statement) nationalism would be correct, as he's not talking about using Japanese pride to attack any particular other country, but rather implying an intense amount of national pride brodering on nationalism.

Also, in the case of Devotion, it was one art asset that was a reference to Winnie the Pooh and Xi Jinping, which was almost immediately removed, but the Chinese government in general, and Jinping in particular, have incredibly thin skin and powerful propaganda machines, so they turned it into a massive controversy (they revoked the publisher's license to do business in China, and the developer is still doing damage contro).

Japan average summer temperature: 26C
Egypt average summer temperature: 40C

Also I'm pretty sure that's a pyramid, not a mountain.

For those who complained about the heat, there's a huge difference between dry heat and humid heat. I rather be in dry heat because at least I can sort of get away from it by hiding in the shade. Humid heat? Forget it. It's like a rabbit in heat, it seeks you out.

@SteveJust
The humidity in Japan are usually around 80% but the average temperature is lower than Cairo, Egypt. Cairo, though, has a humidity of usually around 50%. It's better to compare Japan's summer heat to South East Asia. In that case, it's quite comparable.

omg this website sometimes.. One off-hand internal monologue of a character worrying if she can handle hot weather and somehow it's nationalism and bashing Japanese food.

Humid heat sucks so fucking much. Dry heat is way more bearable.

You gotta realize he was wondering from HIS OWN perspective. He's Japanese, and he can handle the heat in that desert fine. Seeing as she can't, of course he would worry about her handling heat he deals with every year.

I’d show her my bubble tea as well

Dry heat is MUCH more bearable. Some people have no idea how horrid it is. It’s a catch-22 though. Since there is so little humidity, heat rapidly escapes the desert at night and the temp can drop below freezing.

dear lord, I never saw an mc with so much punch-able face like this before
"oh look I'm awesome, that's why I always has stupid face and being goofy most of the time cuz I know everything and nothing worries me since i'm too awesome"
If this is the idea of the author of trying to make a good and obvious self insert character such as this thing...hahaha.NO.

@Enternal Japanese summer? HAH! I dare them survive my country's 40-50º on summer and 38-42º all year around(depending on city and state). Dry heat, humid heat all year around hurray! I had to move to a montainous region to find a place away from the hellish heat. People in my original city already treats 20º as a cold temperature though. It's extremelly funny watching people use heavy clothing for 18-22º as if they were living in Alaska or something.
