The "Be Mine" Rings are like marriage rings except it extend the human prolong life. The Subjugation Rings are likely linked to "Be Mine" except more of the enslavement kind. So rather than return as her equal partner, he became her personal slave.

I swear this industry feels overly sanitized and Disnified (sure you have gore and violent MC here and there but they are mostly in the minority). Every author want their MC pure and kindhearted, author want their cake and eat it too. What I hate the most about isekai is where bandits runs away, they are drawn in cartoony way, and MC don't do anything cuz "it's bothersome" and author pull the rug and go on the next adventure and pretend that didn't haoppened, like bruh you just let the bandits ran away they gonna do banditing again in the future wtf. Also slavery, there are always grapes in slavery but every author have to have slavery where heroine is pure lmao which is highly unrealistic. Anyways just a rant feel free to agree or disagree I don/t read replies.
