still in prison cell namek I see
yawn
just saying manga namek wasn't as long as the meme made by the anime that at least was weekly, this sh!t is monthly and actually is pulling as you said cell namek :notlikethis: :notlikethis::notlikethis::notlikethis:

I guess that backfired ever so slightly judging by the comments.
specially the chapter starting showing the MC in a friggin cross! ffs this isn't even an isekai to just go trash after a good arc 🥲

What a cheap insert chapter, it feels like the author went "Wait, why are you guys hating her? You need to feel bad!" And threw this chapter together.

But the worst part is....

It would be one thing if she made the mistake, and then went: OH SHIT I made a colossal mistake, how the hell can I go about trying to fix it.

You know, the old: I made a mistake cause I'm human -> I realized I'm a fucking moron -> I'll do my absolute best to fix it RIGHT NOW

But this girl has been around since the first chapters, and what did she do? Nothing! Since the beginning of this arc, she is STILL serving the very obvious villains who do villainous things.

... and now the author wants us to feel sorry for her? No.
And I just KNOW she'll be forgiven freely and without any consequence whatsoever...

Failed coups are not punished lightly, but I’m sure she will be. Pathetic. If you want to protect your low level fodder, raise them up and stop betraying all friends and morality. Give up your giant guild mansion. The silver wings or whatever are dead, let it go.

Oh look, are we supposed to feel sorry for you now? You didn't help Denys when he got banished. And those other girls seem to be there as well back then.

You won't get much from spoilers, especially from the WN or LN, because manga split off from it so long ago (after 17, when it finished with LN Vol.1), that manga is doing its own plot for the most part
So, what happens in the wn and ln after the manga split off?

Ah, that's why it started turning to shit, eh? Generally it's not a good idea when the manga starts to go off the rails from established source material.

She acknowledged that she carries some of the fault for Vigor just hiring randomly, because she didn't step up to do anything about it. Likely not doing anything at all throughout his entire downward spiral.
Regardless, she implies that she needs to do better, to do right by those three girls who remain with nowhere else to go.

She now doesn't do anything knowing her employer is planning to usurp the crown.

This woman is a massive, spineless hypocrite. Using her terrible past as a catch-all for her horrible ideology of just keeping her head down as long as she's well off. She blames the protagonist for not returning to the guild, only because she wanted him to take the burden of responsibility- assumedly.

I hope, at the very least, they give her a redemption arc that requires her to leave indefinitely to "find herself". That, or for her to find redemption in her lifelong punishment for aiding a traitor to the crown.

So we, the readers, need to feel sympathy for her?

First time was fine, she wants everything to go back before. Second time is her turning a blind eye. Third time is her being fucking stupid. Doesn't she realize that people who spout about "Boohoo to woe is me being a lower noble. Boohoo we want more power by overthrowing everything" are the type of people who will and will gladly dispose who isn't thinking like them. Her declaring will just kill everyone she knows, even the one she is trying to "save".

They should’ve spared the effort for this chapter and just taken a month off. No chapter is better than watching the same spineless character try and throw a pity party after repeatedly throwing her friend under the bus. I’d honestly prefer if her character would be unashamedly trying to grab power now instead of trying to spin a sob story. We already know she doesn’t actually care for Denys since she’s left him out to try multiple times, might as well lump him in with the “fools and trash” she was talking about.

This manga is soooo baaaaad, it took itself too fucking seriously. Chefs and politics aren't topics that mix together. And then you throw in unnecesary angst and bad/illogical decisions from everybody.

I wonder what the editors and author were thinking with this one. Guess I'll never know cause I had enough, good riddance.

this arc really does a good job at assassinating everyone's character.

It's crazy that between her and Vigor, she might ended up way worse by the end of it.

Author is brain dead for writing a character this contrived and brained. She knows he would've taken them in and that was clearly an option, but the author just made her dumb so she can enter the cast to cause drama. Forget that she could've just been competent and be hired to stop the coup under pretense of subterfuge (couldn't say no cause last leader racked up a debt of both wealth and honor, king allows them to save face bec princess is friends with denny's and by extension acquainted with her), gotta have her be an idiot while the character that could help her is crucified for some reason.
One thing is right about her monologue tho, the author really should've just stuck to the whole restaurant bit not this weird fantasy politicking which clearly has detracted from what made this premise entertaining
