Why wasn't the head chef mentioned last chapter if he's such a crucial person in the story development?

I feel introducing the head chef, go throug the man hunt for the head chef, then reveal Artorie-chan is the legitimate successor of Werstatt house when the negotiation broke down...actually that sounds like ex-machina. nvm.

The head chef is the girl's father, and he was "introduced" during her brief memory flashback in Chapter 25, Page 15. She claimed he was dead, but apparently he was "dead" to her.

Edit: Nevermind, re-read that chapter and the father never made it to Palace Chef. Based on the last image of this chapter though Denis's brother is involved, who was introduced during the Atorie succession arc. Maybe he's the Head Chef now.

Seems a mistake to have the guy cooking the meals be the same one who checks if they're poisoned.

Based on the last image of this chapter though Denis's brother is involved, who was introduced during the Atorie succession arc. Maybe he's the Head Chef now.

Considering Chef Jean Blacks and the former Chef Guild Master Zoizen flashback convo back in ch.29; yeah, pretty much was hinted and now this chapter, and there was that time he (Denys' brother) talked with the mage boy when they first headed to the capital for Atorie's family blood lineage test too

Politics, with corruption and monetary power, false informations and false, baseless accusations and nepotism as catalysts. Basically, the usual.
Plus, uncaring masses who would take action when those who would play victim card even though they aren't really the victim is taking action.

That's the problem.

So you see, humanity is the problem here. As usual. You want the problem to end? Just put your middle finger forward to humanity. Wish for the entire humanity to get wiped out completely and for the Judgement Day to just come already.
