Ngl, imagine if lil bro finds out about his big bro’s compromise with her.

I’d imagine that he’d feel disgusted at himself since his brother tried to save him from her.

Tho, if lil bro finds out and gets pissed at big bro for trying to be a good brother by keeping her away from him then I’m dipping out.

TBF, this applies to any yandere girl. Just gotta gaslight yourself hard enough to think "I can fix her" and hope she doesn't stab you out of paranoia. 👍

I did think about this earlier, and I actually don't think it'd be possible to get her locked up currently. (thought dump below, hope you don't mind)

Until now, big brother actually doesn't know that she's crossed well into the territory of illegal stalking. All he knows is that he's warned Yuuto about her before (Ch. 3), Yuuto has a crush on her, and that Yuuto went behind his back to go out with her. He's more pissed at her for being clingy, but he's oblivious to the fact that the clingyness is way past crime levels. He's not aware of the daily stalking, the following in disguise (Ch. 8), nor the fact that Yuuto's been secretly taking pictures of him to give to Akira; he would have long cut ties with Yuuto if he had found out.

Now she's entering their house under the pretense of a "date" and just sitting there, staring at him, but Kai did agree to this, because by doing so he knows that Akira, in return, won't continue enabling Yuuto's infatuation. Unless Akira did plant something in the room, there's still nothing illegal about the at-home staring contest. Likewise, Kai is aware that Akira is following him during dates and exactly where she is, so it's still somewhat mutually agreed upon.

The character that does have the damning evidence is Yuuto. But getting him to admit Akira's stalker tendencies means he has to out himself as well. This has two damning effects for him: he'll be an accessory to whatever crime is placed on Akira by authorities, and he'll most likely lose all trust from his brother. Staying silent is, so far, his best option if he doesn't want to ruin his relationship with his brother. Also, we're essentially at a reverse from the start of the manga; Kai is now the one secretly "going out" with Akira, not Yuuto.

The entire web of trust between the characters is extremely delicate, and anyone here saying the wrong thing can destroy the relationships between all of them. Worst case, Yuuto ends up getting charged for stalking himself; that probably won't go over well for the Konatsu family.
Quality write-up that understands and acknowledges just how fragile this entire situation is. Good stuff, TL.

Zankyo? That's not how you spell Hashino...

I'm not gonna lambast Kai for his questionable decision to establish this arrangement with Akira. At the end of the day he's trying to protect Yuuto, his younger brother, in his own way and I can respect that. Plus if everyone here made the most sensible choices this manga wouldn't be half as interesting as it is (and it probably wouldn't be up to this point too).

Thanks for the translation.
