what font to use in scantrad

Hello,
I’m wondering what font is typically used in scanlation for different types of text:

• Normal speech bubbles
• Thoughts or internal monologues

If you have any recommendations or know the standard fonts, I’d love to hear them. Thanks!

Ariel Black and New Times Roman, dude.

I can guarantee you can never go wrong with it.
but I can't guarantee that you wouldn't be shunned by the Scanlation community.

I personally use Comic Crafts fonts because they have really great fonts for Manga.

Some of my usual go-to are:-
CC Kiss and Tell Int
CC Astro City Int
CC wild words Roman

Not from CC:-
Spinner Rack BB
Zud Juice

Hi, it really depends on the style of manga you're translating and what you're looking for. I like to use the same font family, just leaving the thoughts in a light gray color and italics.

Some fonts that can be used and I recommend for both, normal speech bubbles and monologues: SS Pretzel Family, Boba Family, Blah Blah Blah Family, CC Marian Churchland, Tight Spot BB Family, Digistrip Family, CC Face Front and CC Ask For Mercy Family. All can be found for free online.
