One day I discovered Shaman King on the tv. I endend up watching it on YT with my sister. Afterwards she read the manga and recommend it to me, told me the manga was better. So I did and the rest is history.

'I wanted to know the ending of an anime' - That's the reason i started reading LN.
'Overlord' got me, but it didn't stop there...
At some point i tried an alternative with less text and now i'm here.

Not long after I started watching anime (that is, officially, ignoring the time when I was a kid who watched what was on TV but didn't know what it was) i got hooked in Ao no Exorcist.
I was desperate to know what happen after the end of the anime, so after a few searches I ended up discovering that the anime was just an adaptation of the manga, and even better, that series in specific was licensed in my country.
For somebody who already was addicted to books mangas were just books with more illustrations, so the transition from one to the other was extremely easy and I ended up quickly getting addicted on that too..........not only in reading, but also in buying, so over the last 6 years I ended up creating kinda giant collection ( ̄ω ̄;)

EDIT: After writing this I remembered that I have a spreadsheet in excel listing and counting the number of mangas I have. "kinda giant" is a horrible understatement, this crazy hell it's almost beating 500 volumes ∑(o_O;)

My dad had a collection of "cultured" manga in the toilet to pass time. Didn't know they called manga at that time.
My dad said he read a bunch of comics/mangas when he was young, so I looked some up on google, found mangafox, mangahere, etc
Also found a bunch of anime I used to/cannot watch
Guess the the manga that got me started was Hayate The Combat Butler, Air Gear, and Pokemon Special
I used to "read/watch" Pokemon Special mangas on youtube, 'cause the music and transition looked cool for me as a kid lol

Back when I was a hardcore Naruto fan, I'd read a lot of doujinshi of my favorite pairings. (I stumbled upon doujinshi on YouTube while watching amvs) Then I guess at some point I migrated to actual manga.

wow. a lot of people really voted for the 2nd choice here. Anyways, I was just bored one day and then decided to try to read "manga" since I was already hooked at western comics/graphic novels and just wanted the same experience, I tried it out. Really thankful I did, cos without it I would've just been another frog down in the well.

My older sister used to read some weird graphic novels called bizenghast and it got me looking at the graphic novel section in the library and I found Dragon Ball Z.
