"It's her fault!"
Preeeetty sure the BBEG had humanity on a known time-limit before he would've come back, regardless of having somebody strong to fight, but go off I guess

lmao so this super dangerous group is just a drunk depressed fuck and his equally depressed friends throwing a fit? Kind of a letdown
Tbh, that is how most terrorist and extremist groups are formed. You don't do things like that if you aren't either indoctrinated or pushed outside of society and brought to your lowest. And we obviously know that they aren't indoctrinated. Of course they probably have some powerful backers who hoped to gain something from this providing them with intel and resources though.

This leave me with some question though...
Selflessness, is it really that great?
The doctor saving people because he wants to, thats all
The kiler killing people because he wants to, thats all
Putting it this way, isnt the docter the same as the killer?
Whats so noble about it? Why admire people doing what they want?

It's not so much that they are sad fucks that dissapoints me but rather that that's all they are. An earlier chapter made it seem like there was a religious aspect to their actions and that the dad was the brains of the operation so I was hoping there would be more to him and the group as a whole than "irrational pissed off victims looking for someone to blame".

Fucking hell, the insane doctor leading a terrorist movement had better logic than this. Like, I really hope this is just a reference to something else.

The doctor isn't doing it because he enjoys medical procedures. He does it because he cares more about other's well-being than his own. A killer could have any number of reasons, but assuming it's a serial killer, it usually has more to do with personal enjoyment than any genuine utilitarian thought.

Oh yeah, I forgot Opher was targeting her. I guess that makes a little more sense than just "she didn't save everyone", but it's kinda clear he lost his mind. That's not to say it isn't realistic, but idk how to judge that in terms of story beats.

You may have overlooked smth: Caring for others' well-being is also a kind of hobby. See a doctor's smiling face after curing people without requiring anything in return? Can you say they are not happy with what they have done? Can you say they hate it?

Technically speaking, if anyone does anything that's purely because they want to do it, they gain nothing in return, it's because it's their hobby. Whether it is killing or saving people, it's the same category when you look at it this way. It just so happens that the will of the "selfless doctor" aligns with people, aside from that, not much difference.

Don't get me wrong, I probably like the doctor better than the killer, but from a fair point of view, they are not that much different as a person who just doing what they like.

In case you ask, I would like to give you an example: A killer will be executed or jailed in a normal society, but they could also be admired and loved as idols by many others (killer or pervert). Or that doctor could be hated for ruining other's doctor's money income.
Every coin has 2 sides, but by removing those sides, you can see it is in the end, the coin. The doctor or a killer too, essentially the same.

And yes, I do mean the serial killer, because I want to refer to someone who kills people just because they want to kill to compare with the one saving people just because they want to save them. And by the doctor, I mean the "selfless doctor".
