I think so too, and this sets up the story where they are fated with one another but still need to do the effort to make it happen, as the ML would prefer it to be.

So the ML(Who can see fate) is happy with this current situation and doesn't want it to change. The FL is happy that ML is with her but looking for someone to love aka doesn't. see. him as an love interest, so this is a story about how the ML is going to change fate and end up with FL is what i assume after reading the first chapter

Hold up i just imagined another scenario what if they ARE fated but the string goes around the world indicating how much progress they have to make to get to that point. Just a guess tho

Yeah, I too despise the concept of fate.
I could go on a pages long rant, but the core of my argument is that it's a shitty fucking excuse that deprives other people of free will.
I've seen so many close people die. Do you know how it feels for a fellow griever to just brush their death to fate? Like... ugh. Sorry for ranting lol.
Good concept, hits me right in my feels.
