ML has it rough. I don't think he's a bad guy or undeserving to win.
In a society made to follow the stream, knowing that all odds are against your wishes must suck, and be hella stressful too.
I'm not saying FL has to end up with ML, but the story we have now is of an underdog going against fate without hurting the person he loves.
I'm expecting ML to make more wrong choices and keep struggling until something happens.
ML is not a bad person, but he must be selfish if he wants to change another person's fate for his own benefit.
... Unless there's a way to change fate, which might be the case?
I'm enjoying this story and I want to see where it will go. The ML is trying to break the rules of a game that dealt him an undesired hand, and that makes good content.
He should confess, but "that'll be following fate's game, and if I follow the rules I'll lose". That's the impression I got at least.
