I know people are getting a bit tired of her constantly trying to run away, but I would encourage everyone to try to wait it out for a few more chapters. Things might change quite soon...

Honestly if anything I can understand that she would want to run away, getting yanked out of your life, leaving your friends and family behind, hell your hobbies and daily routines.
Currently she still has the hope that she can return, it would be weirder if she went this is fine without actually trying.

Though I expect that this attempt will fail again, likely that she'll get kidnapped or something.

It isn't Murder if she's purposefully trying to mislead the emperor while trying to pose as his wife. Fairly sure that posing as Nobility would be a punishable offense, as is lying to the court and offending the emperor/empress. (Implying that his wife is ugly/fat and that he is apparently blind/stupid.) And ofcourse that she will be accused in aiding in the abduction of his waifu. (*Theory, that or the Empress's getting her dumbass falling down a cliff,waterfall or maybe a river.)

way to ignore the fact that he kidnapped her ,forced her to marry her, she complains almost all the time so she defiantly isn't happy often. She has the personality of someone who is to passive to stand up for themselves and rather appease the other person which has been well established. Also way to undermined ever achievement and effort she made in her old life. Yes customer service sucks but its *Her* life to decided what she wants do with.
Also and medieval ,feudal era has horrible technology, and medical science, as well as being patricidal and sexist. She will probably stay cuz shoujo manga demands it, but modern era is with out questions always better then the past, and a man's feeling don't undermined a woman's free will or choice.

@blazing_boz yes, you're right historical wise, but as you said: it's HER decision if she stays or not. Or the author's. And what accomplishments? An empty life where you don't even know yourself anymore is not something that people should be proud of. And a job where you have to humiliate yourself... What kind of company does that? A photograph of herself as if she were begging? At least the emperor is trying to rise her self-esteem higher and he respects her and her opinions; taking into account all the things you mentioned, this guy is way better than modern people. And tho technology makes life easier and comfortable it doesn't mean that people will be happier, or at least I think so when I watch people sitting at the same table in a restaurant and instead of talking to each other, they're glued to their phones... And probably they do the same at home. Other thing: yes, people got sick in the old days (probably most of the time due to lack of hygiene) and they came up with a lot of ridiculous treatments but they were way sturdier than us too.
