I can see how manga artist and writers can use it as a tool in the future, but I don't think AI tech is nowhere near in being creative enough to create an engaging story. That might change in 5 or 15 years tho.

Here's Inio Asano use Unreal for backdrops for example. It's a tool for him, but he still has to have the skills to draw and story tell.

This is outside my knowledge but. I think we are still at the top of the hype cycle when it comes to AI.

Right now, I think everyone is talking about because it is the emerging technology and billionaires want the investment money. I think it'll make a big impact, but not as big as impact as people think it would be.

That being said, I don't know much about this stuff, so it is outside my wheelhouse.

I don't know about in general but I do know AI-generated manga is currently not allowed on MangaDex, I remember there being a whole thread talking about it and this 'manga' coming up in the discussion (that I can't find right now).

AI is just a tool. If you see a picture and think "s*it, another AI crap" - it's another crap regardless how it was made. On the other hand, AI can save a lot of time for artist, for example, to generate unimportant backgrounds.
