im gonna take a shot in the dark and say the cat is the mom they show the cats eyes moments after they talk about the mothers eyes and the cats and the moms eyes look very similar in color maybe the mom turning into a cat was the price for some magic she cast... ofc this could be completely wrong but i just found the coincidence funny lol

I'm not sure whether it's easy or hard to have a happily married idiot couple as your boss.
