I thought she didn't exist in the first place. Good ending. Looking closely at page 1, she's actually visible under the table lol. Either the wife's prank game was too weak or the husband was too sharp.

Side note, the original raw didn't use the kanji for bride/yome (嫁) but katakana yome (ヨメ) to sign the letter (this is strange, maybe she's trying to be cute), but I think it was still meant to say "wife" or "bride" rather than a literal name Yome. Reason being katakana isn't normally used for female first names unlike hiragana, unless she was a foreigner.
