...What? ntr?
Personally I was imaging her flunking her courses, or have a terrible boss, or just a job she hated, or giving up on her dreams, or having no friends when she moved to the city, hell even something like her becoming tired of the rat race; it doesn't have to be something as grand as her being ntr'd.
I mean, 'More than Lovers, Less than Friends' has a better depiction of depression than this story so far, in which a woman wishes to be an actor in the big city but fails and ends up becoming a porn star before moving back with her parents disillusioned... and it isn't even about depression.
This series' initial hook, which is in the title, is that this woman is broken, so of course we'd ask why, and a single panel and a vague statement of "I was not strong enough" does not really do that initial hook justice.
Not to say I don't like this series, I just don't think its character's back story depiciton is above critique when it's so important to the story.
