it said it in chapter 18 fml
The single panel where she says "I wasn't as strong as I thought"? Like I agree with you it's kind of hinted at that it was just a case of her finding life hard, but given that THE SERIES' NAME IS "When I Returned to My Hometown, My Childhood Friend was Broken" and the focus is on her depression - I think it's a little reasonable for people to question if there was more to it.

But anyway, it's just as likely that there was some big triggering event, with how little that panel explains, as it is that there was none.

...What? ntr?

Personally I was imaging her flunking her courses, or have a terrible boss, or just a job she hated, or giving up on her dreams, or having no friends when she moved to the city, hell even something like her becoming tired of the rat race; it doesn't have to be something as grand as her being ntr'd.

I mean, 'More than Lovers, Less than Friends' has a better depiction of depression than this story so far, in which a woman wishes to be an actor in the big city but fails and ends up becoming a porn star before moving back with her parents disillusioned... and it isn't even about depression.

This series' initial hook, which is in the title, is that this woman is broken, so of course we'd ask why, and a single panel and a vague statement of "I was not strong enough" does not really do that initial hook justice.
Not to say I don't like this series, I just don't think its character's back story depiciton is above critique when it's so important to the story.

Early mornings are secretly the best time of day. Rare because we're often not awake, but usually quiet and beautiful. There's a reason they call it the "magic hour" or "golden hour"

As someone who used to work what was essentially the graveyard shift, can confirm that the early morning sunrise is absolutely beautiful.

And birds are really freaking loud. Found out they start waking up around 3am in the summer. Which was kind of a pain to try to fall asleep to
