I'm gonna be honest. If this didn't have another series, I was gonna go ballistic. That open ending was just too frustrating. Dahye being let off like that is insane to me, and the MC getting absolutely shafted, still getting bullied, Dahye still a complete bitch. Holy. If it wasn't an open ending, It would've probably been one of the worst endings I've ever seen.
EDIT: I just finished the sequel, it was bad, the ending of that was worse than the ending of this. The fact that the MC from the first story doesn't even get shown is insane to me. Like I understand that it's about the toxic relationships and trauma between them, but holy fuck. How can you not even make a single dedicated chapter to the previous MC?? we got more chapters with Yoonseo than Ayeon. Honestly Ayeon could probably not be the MC and I could be completely wrong, but I'm pretty sure she's the MC no? Also the fact that Dahye almost had a happy ending with Yeonhwa is crazy to me. The fact she isn't traumatized anymore, but just sad because she can't even be with Yeonhwa anymore is so insane. The first stories story was really good up until towards the end, I how things were put together. But the fact that Ayeon had to still endure bullying, and be miserable still. Like Yoonseo had the sister of Dahye, So she was fine. Like I did see a cover on the website I used that used an older version of Ayeon and Yeonhwa's Sister together. So, maybe they got together. But I didn't see anything about them... Really annoying, cause switching MC's like that is insane. Yeah Yeonhwa did seem like the MC tbh I thought she was but after reading the whole story it still felt like Ayeon was the MC.
2ND EDIT: How in the hell did they not even mention Dahye's posse?? seriously they just added new characters and removed old ones. Just really stupid.
