@kumonani no, he is stupid because he Is clueless and doesn’t think things through. How did he miss his beloved wife’s torment? He basically brushed her off when she met Fu the first time And then failed to recognize the changes to her and to their lifestyle like the sudden business trips, late night student drama, He Yan talking desperately after intimacy and a sudden divorce with minimal explanation. Then when he finally figures it out, instead of coming up with a plan, what does he do? Does he consider that he’s dealing with a mega rich psychopath that’s obsessed with his wife, and that maybe a direct confrontation probably isn’t the best approach? No. He doesn’t. Not to mention that he doesn’t give He Yan any credit at all, or consideration, he let her go and then assumed he knew what was best for her. He should’ve listened to her in the first place.
