Diffrent strokes for different folks, this is a completely subjective topic first and last. what you consider bad other people consider good.

True, this is a subjective topic by nature. Some comparisons can borderline what is objective and subjective though, to the point that the vast majority of rational and honest people agree on one side.

For instance, I doubt you could find anyone who unironically states that The Room (the movie) has the same writing and acting quality as, say, Breaking Bad.

There are always good in bad in everything. As a Chinese person myself who is fluent in Chinese I read Manhua that aren't uploaded to sites like these. Those manhuas are pretty good. Ironically, only the manhua who churn out 5 chapters a week gain a large following so they get uploaded to these websites after being translated because of the high demand for them. If you're looking for good Chinese manhua on here, try 19 days because that's the only good one I know of on this website. I know op's intention wasn't to attack anyone or be racist or anything but damn that kind of hurt as a Chinese artist making money off of art.

@red_incubus I know your pain as fellow Chinese having to see others making such poor quality stories and art more often then the masterworks of the past is just sad.

I found out a published paper manhua is a lot better than the webtoon ones. I remember there is a manhua about mystery with european setting. The storytelling is pretty good so much contrast compared to modern webtoon format. If i recall the manhua is from 2007/2008

as a chinese person also, it's kinda disappointing that a lot of manhuas just aren't my cup of tea. i get that they marketed towards group of people, but i don't know if it's like a majority. there are a few gems which i'll list at the end, but i usually drop a manhua when the female lead just overlooks everything bad that the male lead did to her???? like i don't understand why, if anything i think it's really unrealistic, but it's a story. recommendations: https://mangadex.org/title/40778/cheating-men-must-die https://mangadex.org/title/35295/dawn-the-teen-witch https://mangadex.org/title/51644/don-t-cry https://mangadex.org/title/42121/once-more https://mangadex.org/title/35973/secret-love https://mangadex.org/title/34002/she-may-not-be-cute https://mangadex.org/title/37594/the-cursed-sculpture https://mangadex.org/title/43892/the-heart-has-its-reasons

The good ones are not translated to English. Sometimes I think it’s some kind of an inside joke that so many trash manhuas are translated instead of good ones, or the older classic ones.
