Why is there so many half chapter

I'm new to this site so I don't know why there are so many half chapters. Can someone explain why?

Its the new publisher meta to extract maximum profit from readers. They figured out people will pay for unfinished content and started splitting chapters 2, 3 and even more times to pad out chapter counts and charge the same amount of insert store coin here for all the parts individually as they once did for a full chapter.

Example: INKR will take a 12 chapter series and turn it into a 36 chapter series for the translated release.

To promote the manga more. A manga that releases monthly will be easily forgotten if it's released monthly. So places like comic walker with release a lot of them in parts to get more readers.
Some groups will do the chapters when they're released in full, some will do half chapters. Depends on how much they respect the manga.

Wait they're doing that here now? Man, that's... well, it helps me not binge read, but as was the case with Comikey, I not only have to wait a day or two to read a chapter, it's just 1/3rd of a chapter. Kinda sucks
