Alright, our Mc cannot be defeated by monsters so we will make an already forgettable character ruin his life to give him relevance again to the story. Why this bitch such a fragile thing in his ego ?

Here's where the premise just falls apart. It's now revealed that there's a whole other faction for "swords" that exists apart from mage society. Will is no longer the hard working but talentless MC cast away by society. He's not a failure, incompetent, or even special in any way (that we know of). He's just literally at the wrong place. Why are we letting someone with not a single shred of magic into a mage academy, let alone graduating?

Rosti is obviously Elfi clone or something, but it kinda creepy if you think about it. She made a male clone to stalk Will by becoming his roommate. Even taking a bath with him and sleeping with him by pretending to be male without his knowledge

Isnt it pretty obvious here whats happening? Snape(?) is a "realist" so he believed that a physical Sword wielder will never and shouldnt be in a Wand users domain. Obviously, this isnt Mashle where Will can bullsh*t everything with brute force, since it will be much tougher after graduation in using magic and he's trying to prevent that. As for the Sword faction, its already there but that isnt wht Will wants. HE WANTS TO BE IN THE MAGE FACTION. To meet his childhood friend.

okay welp probably not his brother but dang i didnt think them calling out how similar he was to finn in danmachi would pay off so fast.
man we're gonna find out serps is just "protecting" will because he had a crush on his mom or something. the snape comparisons are pretty fitting xD . plus serpent, snake, snape. i see what they did there.

Since the world seems to be a very magic focused world (remember, dwarves are discriminated due to not able to wield magic), I bet the "Swords" are a covert/underground organization. Only very specific people know of them. In fact, since it seems like Finn's race was kinda a new info for Will, the "swords" probably live in hiding from the masses.

Of course exposition delivered through the lens of mages is gonna make magic seem like the end all be all, but is there concrete evidence of that actually being the case? There are no prerequisites to being discriminatory against those different. If there was just one single snobby mage in the entire world, they would still probably manage it. We have no reason to assume that Will, or any magic student, knows even close to enough about non-mage society. A lot is to be confirmed but as of this chapter, it almost undermines his struggle and adversity due to it stemming from his choice rather than his only out. It would be like if Steven hawking struggled hard to become a professional athlete.

oh yeah, I love the "This kid doesn't have the talent to achieve this and I'm going to prove it by making things harder specifically for him", it is in the realm of "I lied to prove a point" or thinking you are right yet lying to win the argument

First Finn, and now Lefiya and Filvis causally making a cameo this chapter. I see what you’re doing Omori

Wistoria was close to a solid 5, but with how nonsensical they made Snape it can't reach above a 4.
he's not nonsensical though. What point is there in having someone with no magic reach the role of 5 wands, who are there to sustain the magical barrier that keeps them safe.
