So like we all expected, MC was obviously not chosen because reasons despite him (and the childhood friend) being the actual reason they were able to survive the attack below (no thanks to the residents of the tower).

So the next chapter is also pretty much BS. Despite the childhood friend being like the top dog of the tower, they are constantly going against her wishes to communicate and or choose the MC for her color/faction. In the next chapter, for those that did not get immediately chosen, they release some monsters as a trial to determine the next "chosen" people for their factions - i.e. to weed the rest of the possible candidates out. Obviously MC will show them up but the fact that he has to be constantly showered in this type of BS is getting really old and annoying.
