To be fair in japanese it's the same. Hence Alice becomes Arisu. You have to remember how it's spoken as well. If you say the two out loud they mean the same thing either way. It's why localization translates names to the English or other equivalent depending on what language. ( I'm just barely preschool level for my knowledge. So I might be wrong)
