Here's my review:

The story is centered all on a single local card tournament during which Manaka gets some character development... right at the last chapter. It's obvious by how the "final boss" was portrayed as a pro, and all the mentions of pro this pro that by the 29-year-old-tsundere, that the author's real plan was to rekindle Manaka's love for WS with the tournament and then make her strive to become a pro herself, eventually having a rematch with Aoi and finally beating her.

@Notsuki_Ame I think it's good where it ended, and I'm glad it did. Chances are the quality of the story would plummet. There's not much more to add to the story's gameplay that wouldn't be repetitive/stale. The path forward story-wise would be hard to pull off correctly without making it feel dragged out. Most plot-driven manga have a certain point where it should have ended before starting a new story arc that has a much lower interest. For this ending, everything of actual concern has been resolved. The tension/guilt/shame behind her playing is gone. If the story continued, it would be hard to create a new conflict for her to struggle internally that would be as interesting to explore with her. Plus, we'll have to deal with her relationship with Eita and any arbitrarily thrown hardship in it, which would annoy me with the unnecessary drama. But that's just my opinion.

On a different note, I wish the dad got a harsher reprimanding. The dad is an idiot and the court should have his daughter be assigned as the fiduciary for the household and all money he makes.

The translation staff didn't seem to like the ending, but I thought it was perfectly in-character for Eita, a guy who's had a hard time communicating his feelings from the very first chapter, to reply as he did.

Nah, this ending's fine. But it isn't perfect. This should have ended on the next chapter because right know we have to suppose what happens after this.

The ending is kinda bad because Manaka is a Blue player and Blue players don’t deserve happy endings.
